Myvi is a good car overall, for its price. Spacious and comfort. It caters for different groups of people who have a desire for comport and space instead of high performance and pure raw power. Plus, it has safety features like the ABS and also airbags. Now, which local car can you buy for around RM50k which has those features? Of course, Myvi ain't without any problems. There are sure to be problems, so as long as they are minor ones, then be it. Enough about saying 'buy second hand Jap car, better performance and better quality, etc' Mind you, the interest rate is higher for second hand cars. Not to mention, its maintenance is higher than a new car. Of course, I'm saying that you shouldn't buy secondhand cars. Everyone has their preference. I'm just saying from an average joe point of view. This post has been edited by Aquanox28: Mar 4 2007, 03:43 PM

QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Mar 3 2007, 09:59 AM) even if u compare comfort, try to compare with new wira lah.. dont compare with those in old days 1.. coz those car seat/environment inside the car differ alot.. besides, myvi is squarish.. so generally more space compare to wira but 1 thing for sure.. going more than 160km/h for myvi is crazy consider the high ground clearence, total height of the car, and aerodynamic.. try new wira...? facelift u mean...? i've already lost count with facelift done for tht 1991 production...! if ppl feel wira is better then go ahead, with all those discount given nobody gonna stop u... i would like to know which highway allow u to drive 160km/h...? sepang highway...? for ppl live in KL, in the day light chances of stuck in traffic jam very high... so where the hell we're driving tht fast...?

Well, he is probably making full use of his car. For MYVI, if above 120 km/h, it has a floaty feeling just like Vios, maybe it's like that's why. Lighter cars have better mileage and pickup if compared to Satria Neo, 1.3 engine but with a 1200kg kerb weight. QUOTE(munky @ Mar 4 2007, 10:28 PM) it's not hard to drive 160kmh actually. QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Mar 2 2007, 01:54 PM) Try compare the interior of the myvi and the wira and for sure the myvi roomy and spacious interior will make u speechless. But the boot, man, the boot! The Myvi surely can't be a family car. Where are you going to put your groceries and stroller? The Myvi is good for singles / as a backup car.

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Feb 28 2007, 01:36 AM) how to do engine braking if the car is auto ya? hehe, noob in auto cars la. anyways, my uncle has been working in genting for almost 30years already. so i think there shouldn't be any problem with his driving since he drives down the hill every fortnight. Use "2" all the way, dun step on the gas a lot, and only use the brakes + L for the final two meters before the humps. I think i used my brakes like i didnt really need them ie used them for ~ less than 1 minute. Added on March 5, 2007, 11:42 pmQUOTE(Jasonist @ Mar 1 2007, 12:07 PM) now i understand the meaning of using low gear le... but using low gear means the gas will oso habis quickly rite since the engine rev so high... and for the MT, we have to use clutch to control the car from being jerk so much... i dono who the hell this jerk talking bout craps on myvi and recommend 2nd hand jap cars... but u have step the tails of myvi owners... every car has its own issue, pros and cons... this is juz a norm to speak about cars... so even if we talk bout myvi, which might last for years or not... its totally none of ur stupid hell business!!! Not necessarily, going uphill at 3-4k all the time sucks more fuel than going downhill nearing redlines 5-6k rpm. This post has been edited by ceo684: Mar 5 2007, 11:44 PM
