Hi all sifu,

I found this issue when I visit 1 of the show room. This is saga 2019 premium. Does anyone face the same issue ?
Please red the picture below
*
tell you what, they can have a showroom car with uneven gap on left and right side between fender and A pillar. ANd i mean that kinda of difference is you can see it with your eyes. not those only know how much difference by measurement ones. Proton oh proton....... bila la lagi kau nak improve QC kau ni.

Any other issue besides myvi fuel pump issue?
*
little issues here and there for perodua cars, usually those issues are result from cost cutting. things like noisy stabilizer link bush, thin paint layer, just to name a few.

Yea, maybe after this thursday they can't solve it, I'll ask for my car back la, the replacement car, persona vvt is even worse, nvh sucks, suspension sucks.

This is my second car, sold off my myvi LB for a bigger bonet. Used the myvi for 8 years, there's no rattling like the new saga even after 8 years.

Just the engine mounting la KO, 8 years already never change the mounting. And i changed the spring to stiffer one from the second year. So, it's acceptable la.

This new saga not even 8 weeks pun have that annoying rattling sound when taking the ramp up/down from my parking lot or uneven road.
*
since you got a replacement car, then push them until they resolve the problem for you..... and tell them to give an update to you periodically. like one or two day have to update you.

lol..... it will be helpful if you previously drove a saga BLM before. i kinda found out that even the new saga vvt it still carries some same genetic illness of the BLM (yeah, i knew the platform is still the same), e.g rattling noise like our member aminar faced, some noise here and ther (dashboard, glove box etc)

Anyone having the same symptom?

Anybody on 2016 model (CVT) on 60K milage?

Ayam almost 60K milage (5K plus minus to go)

Looking for review/suggestion/opinion for meja service.
Ayam looking for service item below

minyak hitam (full synthetic) + filter minyak hitam
minyak CVT + Filter CVT + adaptation <-- already done last month
filter minyak petrol <-- already done last month
minyak brek
minyak steering
coolant radiator (full coolant. Don't want coolant + water for OCD reason)
spark plug
FEAD belt
timing/drive belt kit
air filter engine
Water pump

FEAD belt and timing/drive belt same thing?

Anything ayam missing?
Don't care about cost to be honest.
Budget around 2.5k for this 60k service.
Maybe will do this around Christmas
*
what is OCD reason? some coolant are premix 50/50. i think you mean those.

FEAD belt - engine belt, timing belt is another thing. 60k km for timing belt replacement? really? not 100k or 100k km?

the proton 1 tank adventure final round completed yesterday. I just had a glance through the video, seems like the winner able to make a good fc out of the saga MC, with 4.8x L/100km. not sure whether he switch off aircond or not though.

Well there are conditions need to be met like driving cruise around 90-110km/h. Well given any car if drive highway sure can hit that kind of mileage. In fact they should adventure on city and not in highway. Reason is if drive in city is more realistic and what most people want in a fuel saving car. To me, this kind of adventure is kinda gimmick and it couldnt tell whether the car is fuel saving. Just my 2 cent. cool2.gif

if you really look into what sort of road they plying, then you will be impressed with the fc that a proton car able to achieve. And i do wonder how the participants able to achieve that if they really not switching off the aircond.

*

no lah, aircond warmest temp is no difference with aircond off imo.
*
got difference, warmest setting still the compressor will kick in. off aircond remain the blower on then cantik sudah. saga is using piston pump if they remain the same design since saga BLM, it has a very high cooling capacity that's why the aircond is so cold, and as a consequence, it saps power, by a lot. like around 3 horses gone when it kicks in.

for those who find their remote control hard to lock or unlock, try open the battery compartment and re-seat the battery.

if poorly installed the battery position will be senget 1.
if properly installed the battery will be fully inserted.

good advise bro

anyone driving saga vvt FL, had you ever monitor the Instantanous Fuel Consumption reading of your car? Does it ever drop below 3.0L/100km?

3L / 100KM really a super impressive figure that even hybrid cant hit that figure in normal way of driving.
it translate into 33.33KM per litre of fuel consumption.

not teasing you or anything bro, just that 3L/100km is not realistic figure that can be hit by most car.

momentarily maybe but wont sustain even for few minutes.
*
bro, don't get me wrong, i'm talking about instantenous fuel consumption for the car, not the average fc, meaning fc of that moment. modern car does come with injector cutoff mechanism when you release the throttle.

by theory, proton should have this in the ECU tuning, momentarily it can even be 0l/100km because the ECU is giving the instruction to the injector to cut off the fuel. But no matter how i try, it doesn't seems to happen on the saga even momentarily. Or maybe there's some limitation to the engine that proton unable to have such mechanism.

The nearest competitor of saga, the IFC can hit 99.9km/l (yeah, their unit of measurement is different from proton) during deceleration. thus make the fc more rosy. If saga have the fuel cutoff mechanism, the fc surely better than what it is now. Coming next year, such feature is a very welcomed feature.

Same engine but gearbox changed from CVT to 4AT  rclxms.gif

according to proton's own declaration, the crankshaft is newly design for 4AT. so transplanting a 4AT to CVT saga VVT probably not a direct gearbox for gearbox job.
