4000km still new bro, wait til 10k then it will improve. though with vvt, the engine architecture is still more or less the same from the campro era design, and with the wieght of near 1100kg, a powerful aircond compressor that gives you cold aircond during hot day (yes, it consumes fuel, nothing is free in this world).

fc looks good, it will improve when the engine clock up mileage. probably you can look at 11-12 km per liter i believe.

hydraulic power steering have a better steering feedback compared to EPS, though it is slightly "heavier" than EPS. If you felt that your HPS is really that heavy, better have a check at SC. i drive saga BLM and the HPS is really not light, at least it is heavier than the HPS on 1st gen myvi.

of course it is always better to have fully synthetic oil if you love your car and afford to pay for the slightly higher premium. fully synthetic oil have better anti oxidation property than a semi syn oil. which means it is more stable

it will surely be a surprise if the saga FL will be using 4AT, the punch cvt improved after so long it soldier on, it surely a miss if proton really switching to 4AT.

other changes are welcomed, as saga interior is dated and this makes saga less welcomed compared to the nearest rival which is bezza.

Probably proton should work on achieving EEV status for Saga, then it really helps in pricing the car to go against bezza. A=With a car that have better R&H, better NVH, colder aircond, slightly lower pricing (compared to competitor). I think it should be able to steal some market share from bezza.

i personally recommends a new saga vvt if you unable to wait. new saga vvt having better nvh and more improvement against saga flx. after all, new car have warranty while the second hand ones might be plenty of things up for replacement.

happens to my old saga BLM as well. check for door switches contact, engine hood switch, in cabin dome light, probably these items might contributes. By the way, i just override it by locking the doors manually. meaning the car is not armed with alarm.

number wise, really not much improvement. technically, the 4AT box is even more efficient than a cvt. remember, cvt is supposingly a more efficient tranmission than a 4AT. So, it's either the cvt is inferior or the hyundai 4AT simply really superior. now we know why perodua still remains 4AT until now.

i used to have a BLM before, no power window issues at all even i own it for 9 years. Not even a single time it had issue.

perodua is toyota's grandson, so people will take it as a confident booster. Without a doubt, perodua powertrain reliability should be a tat better than Proton. We can't dispiute that.

Other things, it is a mixed of yes and no. sometime proton parts are ok, sometimes peoruda part are better. But then, perodua sc service level is going down hill, probably they have many service intake to handle (to earn money), so they will be less concern about warranty claims (which is not making money). Proton, i think the service levle should be improved if not better than perodua after geely take over.

to mass people, yes it is, perodua axia is even better than a proton saga, that's unfortunate. But undeniably, proton starts this all by themselves. So they get the payback now for their ignorance and arrogance in the past 20-30 years. By right Proton should had been a strong brand if they able to capture the trend during the saga wira years, they just simply ditch it.

Same goes to Perodua today, if they keeping their arrogance and ignorance towards people needs, they will get the payback as well. But then, perodua is smarter than Proton to be honest, they know what and where to hit, that's why Perodua cars able to sell so well.

If geely being serious about Proton, then proton will be having a very good prospect. But then, to recover the damaged image, Geely/Proton just simply need to pour out their double or triple effort to recover.

We will see how good proton is, and how they able to put a fight to perodua when things are being done right. I think saga gonna sell well (at least for this month and coming 2-3 months), but when Axia and Bezza launching FL, then they might snatch the sales from Proton again. Again, it's a "toyodua"
