Why don't you try to install a switch between the cam and fuse.
You can choose when to switch On/Off for recording. I'm using this.
https://shopee.com.my/renbinfs-Car-12V-3-Pi...4293.7509544550i dont want manual interference when it shld or shld not operate. and after manual turn off i am pretty sure will forgot to manual turn it on, and vice versa.
besides, its my wife car, lagi dun want manual control, got to be as easy as it can be.
currently dash cam am connected to 'Audio' fuse (one sitting below the 'Horn' fuse), start car will also start recording. off car means off recording.
and besides besides, if manual force on over-night, we cant be sure when battery cant take it no more. I wont want to jump start car because of dash cam draining juice till cant start car.
and those hard-wires kit for dash cam that auto cut-off when dropped till 11.7v, my opinion is useless, because batt at 12.1~12.2v ady difficult to crank up, allow to drop till less than 12v lagi teruk. Dont forget new saga has DRL somemore which lights up when key turn to accessories mode (1 step before crank up engine), ie it takes more juice to crank up than one without DRL.
last but not least, so happen i ady a manual switch installed below steering column.... which i dont use it anymore
