I will continue to hold on to my 980ti until such time that my FPS sinks below 50. That will be the trigger point

Played around with the fan profile settings for my Zotac GTX1060 AMP.
Previously stock profile idling 0% fan 44 degree Celsius. Now idling set to 30% fan speed 36-38 degree Celsius. With air cond on (24 temp settings) can get 32 degree Celsius. Gaming wise, previously hover around 65-68 degree Celsius. Now set the threshold to 50% fan speed, temp dropped quite a lot, to 50-55 degree Celsius average. Should have configure the fan profile sooner. This post has been edited by ZeroSP: Feb 3 2017, 01:41 AM |

That's what I always do. Set the RPM to the speed that you're comfortable with the noise.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 3 2017, 01:12 AM) Actually at 70% I still only hear my front case fans. But now with threshold properly set, it's all good, 30% to keep it around 36-38 idling rather than or 0% (default). Not sure why the hate for Zotac in local forums though, it's like it must be Asus or gtfo |
