I have a HD6970 which is dying very soon, im thinking of getting 1050TI 4G.
Would this be a good upgrade?

Im hoping to only get 1080p 60fps High-Ultra in most of my games.
Usually RTS (e. Starcraft), FPS (e. Battefield, DOOM), RPG (e. Tomb Raider) & Sim (City Skylines)

Or should i save up and get 1060 6G instead?

Obviously 1060 6G is better choice laugh.gif rclxms.gif

Thanks for the confirmation, cause the RM400 difference is quite steep for me right now.
Couldn't get my mindset to fork out that much, but better than regret later...

Sifu,

I have a gtx1080 and would it run well with high fps on 4k? Or should I go with 1440p for higher fps? (i know every game with different settings will differ but generally on an average?)

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

depends on what settings youre setting and what game. putting on High and above on most will most likely result in <60FPS

here are some examples of GTX1080 on AAA heavy graphics game at 4K and High settings

I wouldn't recommend anyone to go more than 1440p unless you have deep pockets. Game requirements will keep on increasing and 4k will be the first asking you to upgrade.

Guys, just want to check, I just bought a 2nd hand unit Zotac GTX 1060 3gb ddr3. Unfortunately the seller unable to provide the purchase receipt because he has misplaced it.

So the question is, will I still be able to claim warranty from Zotac distro? The GPU was bought from Linloong (local seller) and already registered at zotac official website

Please help, thanks

Send an email to Linloong together with P/N number and Series Numbers where you can found at the top of GPU . They will send you the PDF receipt.

Why not upgrade to RX 580 4GB? or cheaper, the RX 570 4GB? Because you're already using high power requirement GPU, so it means that your PSU supports these GPUs.

1050Ti or GTX 1060 is a more power efficient GPU, so it's more recommended on lower spec PSU for the price, because it sacrifices some performance as a trade.

Maybe cause I'm tired of being AMD fanboy, was very disappointed with their line up for the passed few years...
Their only redeem is Vega, which still have long way before release.

Back to the point. Lower TDP & GPU boost is a great for real life performance, not to mention most of the games are optimize for nvidia.
Just how I think about Nvidia, do educate me if I'm wrong as I was away from the PC community for a long time.

Yes, you're making a big mistake not going to GTX1080ti.

But on a serious note, yeah the new dota patch seems to have added some graphical enhancements and stuff. I think that might have caused the performance degradation on your side.
