The most important thing to consider is your budget first. If both fit, compare features. e.g. you on tight budget and do not wish to upgrade your card within the next 5 years, u can consider Zotac.

local warranty is awesome if the unit have issue less than 1 year u purchase & even can exchange 1-1 within 7~14 days or even months (depend)

the problem i don't like is after 1 year, depend on which item like RAM u need to play RM 9-10, GPU RM 30, PSU RM 50 etc. then u need to wait for few months.

local stores stated they sent back to the HQ need extra charges too so i rather claim directly towards the exact vendors by myself than waiting those local stores (bulk)

FYI, purchase Zotac from US 2+1 but M'sia offered 2+3 & majority issue is due to the fans. previously, i used to care bout warranty a lot but now i don't care so much & pick the one  that offered the best value as long the price is not too ridiculous.

simple scenario, purchase OCZ at Lowyat Plaza after 1 year have issue, they charge u shipping fees but OCZ offered advanced warranty experience. (https://ocz.com/us/support/advanced-warranty)

sometimes if u deal with them directly, they might not charge u anything too. (depend)

at the end of the day, like i said LPPL! 

Just go with Zotac GTX1050. Should be cheaper. From reviews, the GTX1050 series doesn't get very hot, even under full load.

There is even the low-profile version of these cards. With bigger and better cooling solution, I believe they can manage to maintain boost at higher clockspeed only. But stock clocks should be achievable with simple design cooler, with the 1050s.

the only difference that you need to consider is the convenience of warranty claim and the overall design.

if you have an open casing/transparent casing then always go for the better looking one (in this case, Asus).

i was previously considering between Gigabyte or Zotac because Zotac is slightly cheaper but ended up with Gigabyte cause it looks better than somehow, the brand gives me that assurance.

There are some different between ultra and high in Witcher 3 but high is already enough for most of the people. I just wanna utilize my monitor refresh rate. Hence, I wanna purchase 1080ti to hit 100fps. Heh
Maybe your should clean your pc? Mine with maximum performance set in nvidia control panel runs at 54 degree max in idle mode.
