but during 97,98 and 2007/08 financial crisis, still ok right?

That time surely use reserves. How can they keep using reserves if economy have not been kind to Malaysian market?

I was wondering what should be the right ratio for above.

Beside this what is the ratio among

ASM:ASW:AS1W:FD ????  confused.gif
So next hunting season is on 31-Oct? or 1-Oct?
*
Zero for FD as amanah saham is basically doing the job of FD plus have better benefits over FD. I have long shifted all my FDs over into amanah saham.

FD has PIDM, whereas ASx doesn't has one, could this be one of the factor that we put in FD?
*
No. Because people trust banks more than govt biggrin.gif

True..i read some countries even have negative interest rate...i can’t understand how its work..me also not finance background..hope someone can enlight this smile.gif
*
A good eg is Japan, US, EU. Their interest rate have been very low. The reason for low interest or negative interest is
1) make people keep less money in banks
2) spend to stimulate the economy

Tell me, if interest rate low, majority of the people will spend the money or save it?

Aunty is back
Bundled products aimed to lure those not educated to buy their bundled variable price fund.

80:20 efd. reason being no matter how much trust u have in malaysia, it’s still good to diversify. and fd only efd so that i can get cash immediately without lining up as well as after office hours in case of emergency.
*
That's where emergency cash and credit cards come in. No need to dip into any FD or Amanah saham.

lol emergency cash in fd to earn interest. cant leave cash lying around not working. in general should have 6 months of salary worth of emergency funds.
*
Who says cash not working. Use la money market fund. I only keep about RM1k cash on hand (more than enough), about RM5k in money market fund.

They advertised like this but usually they allowed renewal fund with a small amount of top up.

Not true.
So many times tried to get promo rates, non of the banks entertain. Maybe because I have peanuts and an ikan bilis.

what do u mean by LOCKED ????
*
Locked as in cannot buy anymore but can sell. Locked so that can they have quota to bundle with variable price funds. Of course all these are just speculations because for a while there's one particular fund which no one can buy. Of course where it's true or not, is just a speculation.

Welcome to the world of amanah saham. Consider yourself lucky as last time, no internet. People buy via banks. Need to go buy over the counter.

QUOTE(cscheat @ Sep 21 2018, 01:43 PM)
so after paired with VP, the dividend how? same 6%?

what about other non bumi fixed funds??? AS1M ? ASW ??? also paired???
*
Pair up with VP means paksa you to buy VP baru you can get FP. If you don't buy VP, cannot get FP.

Do they have official announcement about ASM locked?
I can't seems to see why they locked that.
*
Again it's just speculation on our parts. Why lock? If you don't lock, people keep buying ASM when someone sells, how are they going to get units to bundle with their VP? They cant just issue more units.

BY locking (preventing people from buying) amanah saham is able to bundle those units with their VP funds.

Cimb preferred told me last Friday the new bundle promo will start on 24/9.

I'm thinking to get the asw units thru this way. They told me there is no restriction to sell the vp but there cannot confirm yet.. So when I sell I'll lose 3.5% sales charge. I can cover this back later thru the asw div.

I'm in this for the long term so I think it's worth. This is the only easy way to get asm or asw units now.

Just thinking.
*
5% service charge + you don't know if the price will drop further. If it drop further, expect more losses.

so ASM = locked

ASW & AS1M = soon to be locked ?
I just signed up ASNB account for this

Speculation only. Not officially confirm.
Asm was the one. Now looks like they want to bundle ASW also which means maybe ASW also maybe lock.
But still got hope. Once a year can try luck.

i meant those not so performing are variable funds highly investing into equity.

whereas those variable funds highly investing into fixed assets or securities are doing ok.

You must see whether they can beat the returns of fixed rate fund as that's practically risk free.
