Should I sell my bond unit trust and buy ASNB fixed price funds instead?
*
Bond unit trust is subjected to market price flacuations. ASNB fixed price funds nope. One question you need to ask yourself, are your bond unit trust performing on par with ANB fixed price funds after all the fees?

Is your call.

Guys. What is the most you heard someone has collected ASNB? in this forum or real life.
*
If you follow this forum long enough, you know some old sifu which no longer post here show screens hot of 6 figures dividends.

And why is that important? How much you get depend on how much you put in la.

There is no capital gain to look forward to, unfortunately. With this, we face the wrath of inflation.
*
No capital gain means no capital losses too. Another way to look from different perspectives.

Thank you for your reply...
Do you mean the bank or ASNB branch open on Sunday?
I am staying at Johor but both bank and ASNB branch here closed on Sunday.
In Johor, the government departments and school open on Sunday.
*
Don't know why Johor is like this. East Coast state Sunday is working day

i read in this thread that ASB unit can transfer to others , by counter.

only hongleong? anyone done this before? can share how.

*
Buy and sell over the counter. Hard to execute as people will snap up units upon selling.

YES.. only if both parties have ac with ASNB.

cannot transfer to non ac holder.. Coz my little boy hv no ac. i tot want save my time.. willing to pay RM15 just transfer him some units for ac opening .. but system rejected.

I did this in PNB HQ.

Staff says they also dunno that cannot transfer to new ac holder. However between friends or anybody also can transfer any amount. as long as both is account holder.
*
So it's true just pay RM15 and can do a transfer?

Say if,

1st Sept. Balance = RM 1000. (public holiday)
2nd sept. deposit RM 1000, balance = RM 2000.

so for Sept, the min balance is RM 1k even though 01st sept was a holiday that I can't deposit money? hmm.gif

newbie here

can i open account at post office on weekend?

or working days only?
*
Yes but must have people sell first. I assume you are not bumi. Chances for people to sell is very less on a weekend as only the east coast state operates on Sundays.

QUOTE(SilenTz_1993 @ Aug 31 2018, 02:35 PM)
Hello! smile.gif

If I am not mistaken, only weekdays. Weekends you are less likely to get any units (not sure if anyone sells them during that time).

FYI - account can only be opened if you are able to buy any units.  biggrin.gif
*
As long as got people sell.
Nowadays I read that there are people who manage to open account without buying any units as PNB offices

QUOTE(WinterDays @ Aug 31 2018, 07:51 PM)
oic

i will try again next time  unsure.gif
*
ASNB products have already been hard to grab. Read first page tto find best time to get units.

Isn't the dividend calculate based on the minimum amount for the whole month?
*
What's your amount on the 1/9? Cause the min amount is inclusive of the amount on the 1st. tongue.gif

Not sure if someone had asked similar question in the past. I haven't withdraw $ from ASNB account before. Wondering how should I decide from which portfolio I should withdraw?
*
Just withdraw whatever you want. Make sure to do it on the 1st. Otherwise rugi wei if you withdraw say on the last day of the month as if you had kept for one more day, that month would have earn dividends.

Thanks Ramjade. If I withdraw 4 or 5 digits, do I expect to receive cash from the counter? I don't wanna carry so much $ on hand  sweat.gif
*
Yes cash unless you go to bank you have account with and tell them to transfer into your bank account.

Eg. Maybank, tell them you want to sell xxx of ASx, and transfer money into your account, they won't give cash and money will appear in your bank account.
