Not this. Evonne2016 was saying those ASG units she redeemed in Nov 2017 will still earn dividend for the period of April-Oct2017 when dividend is paid out on April2018. This only works for fixed priced ASx.

If you keep some units inside, you will get dividend. But not sure if they count dividend from last holding S or current holdings.

For me, I withdraw all so no dividend for me.

yeah i think it is a grey area. basically they have to key in all the details then generate the account then buy the units. most of the time they are reluctant to do it cause they don't know when units will be available and cannot leave an account with no units. if they are helpful they just pause at step 2 and try again another day i think.

Just landed today morning on my loveable Malaysia soil

After 2.30pm today, Going to ASNB to open account for my kids..so better i bring min rm100 for each ASx..

Managed to open ASM & AS1M for all kids at ASNB...ASW no fund..will try next week

Here in ASNB, RM100 is a must to open each ASx fixed price account..

Immediately all kids akaun linked under my MyASNB under tab ‘MyBijak/MyRemaja’ at the most end.

Well ASW kinda hard, but possible to open.. Don't give up hope 😊

Not able to open AS1M accounts (RM100 trials) for days now =(

Keep trying. Sometimes u can follow the Unit Bergerak too. They are more friendly. I started with the Van and left my money there for them to test while having my lunch. Luckily get all 3 at once but only max RM200 per ASx.

save for your kid without them knowing, this is to avoid kid sees too heavy on monetary instead of studying. we need to change this mindset!

actually can just leave the RM100 with the staff and ask tell him.. ABANG, CUBA SAMPAI DAPAT.. then ask him whatsapp the details. thats what my friend did. base on trust.

dun think the bank officer will run away with the RM100...!!!

Yes agree..i seen this cultural/trend in many families..even some parent boosting around they hv bought one house/property for each their kids...and subsequently the impact to their kids education and behavior

Yeah...if we start saving early, the monthly contribution kids education will be low..and ASNB compounding interest will take care the remaining..
