It is common that 4G will switch to 3G when answering calls. Nothing to do with phone or modem.

Yesterday just dropped few questions to one of lowyat E5186 seller.

When call coming or outgoing. The line will drop from 4G to 3G. Within this switching, expect data line will drop/disconnect.
If set 3G permanently on router. Do expecting the data connection will be quite slow when making call.

I didn't ask more about E5186 support VoLTE. Because i know even your device support VoLTE, there are some other requirement need to be done. Like my phone support VoLTE but never get it from Digi.

Wow, really? First time heard this. Saw Digi website only status iphone and huawei mate 9 support VoLTE, so i never ask CS.

My Umobile line can HD call without contact CS. So i assume this Digi haven't ready.

i facing this issue with my phone hotspot, someone call in sure disconnected......i dunno is my xiaomi mi max behave abnormal....
*
no. it's because when calling, the line will drop to 3g unless the call is using VO-LTE.

QUOTE(rgchai @ Mar 29 2017, 02:30 PM)
This happening to my Celcom line as well. When someone calling, my mobile Internet will be disconnected until the call is ended. So annoying especially during playing online game...  mad.gif
*
It will happen to all major telco here, but I think yes maybe will not since they only use 4g.

According to the Spec, E5186 is VoLTE compatible and DIGI also already supports VoLTE. In this case, the Internet drop while calling is still happen?

thanks

Yes I know the spec.
The question should is Digi VoLTE support any device?

Refer here:
http://new.digi.com.my/services/volte

We're working to make Digi VoLTE available to everyone. But in the meantime, if you own any of these smartphones,
you're in luck because it's already activated with VoLTE!

iPhone 6S / 6S Plus

Can you try using your sim that can make calls??? If can make call, will cut the stupid TM streamyx...

I'm quite sure that this modem router can make call. I got another low spec modem which is Huawei B200, got telephone port as well. I insert the sim card and used it for my house alarm to dial out as my house area don't have any fixed phone line facility.

In order for calls to be in VO LTE, both parties must be able to support it. So if your device can support VO LTE and your friend only can use 3g, it will still be normal call.

Called them a second time, this operator seem to be more helpful. He said my infinity package already approved, didn't get transaction email because server was busy or something.

Alright, just placed an order on Infinite 150, hopefully I can use it this week.

The website is definitely having some hiccups and I suspect it has something to do with "connect".

Did payment 3 times, twice was a failure, 3rd did on other browser, it went through.

Yes, just tell them to activate since it have no harm to you. If your phone support VoLTE then you will connected to VoLTE, if not then it will still working as it is. BTW, I'm using Mi MAX with VoLTE enabled.
