Voice call through Whatsapp is considered as VOIP. For other apps I'm not sure. I'm using Digi broadband currently, confirmed that Digi blocked the voice call from Whatsapp unless you purchase the VOIP add-on for RM5.

Depends on how you going to use it. If you just want to use it at home only, better get the Mifi modem without battery build-in version. I'd used the Mifi Modem with battery build-in previously with the charger plugged-in all the time. After 1.5 year, the battery starting to get inflated and the Mifi modem randomly shutdown by itself, could be due to battery problem. So, if you thinking to turn on the Mifi all the time with charger/adapter plugged-in, better get the non battery version to save all the hassle on the battery issue.

2.4 or 5ghz is referring to the wifi signal broadcast from the Mifi, nothing to do with Digi network.

2.4ghz is most commonly used but subject to more interference if you have other wireless devices nearby, e.g. cordless phone, cordless mouse, etc. There are still not many devices using 5ghz frequency yet, so should be less interference then 2.4ghz, but the drawback is, this higher frequency can't penetrate wall well.

If can enable both will be better smile.gif

Hi. Anybody facing problem with Digi Broadband on Facebook currently?

My Facebook seemed very slow and pictures and comments can't even loaded. Speed test is normal, 10Mbps DL and 6Mbps UL. YouTube looks OK. Just the Facebook issue. Try to load Facebook page directly from Browser also can't go into the page. I'm from Kuching Sarawak btw.

Problem seemed resolved after I restarted the modem router. Before this can't ping Facebook.com, after that can ping already but goes to different ip address. Maybe DNS not well refreshed.

Never know that my Broadband modem need to restart like my previous streamyx modem as well sweat.gif My Broadband modem is running 24 hours at home and never switch off or restart before... tongue.gif

Hi,

Would like to check with those using Digi Broadband 30 or 60 package, the Youtube StreamFree currently is still 10GB or 50GB quota (no specified)?

Only know the BB100 package has 50GB StreamFree quota but saw from somewhere that looks like BB60/30 also without specified total StreamFree quota now, so could be at 50GB as well.

Don't click anything from those SMS link or you will be charged for the subscription.

Normally if you see the SMS started with RM0.00 meaning this SMS will not cost you anything. In case the starting amount of SMS is other than RM0.00 then you have to call Digi to complain about it ASAP, tell them you will report to MCMC if no action is taken. brows.gif

I'd faced same problem with my BB after updated to new MyDigi apps, but I resolved this after login to my other CONNECT account (other Digi prepaid number).

When login to my other CONNECT account, I tried the option to join other number into current account (under +View other numbers), entered IC Number then played around with the options. I can't recall which option I clicked, think none of the methods can link my BB account successfully at that time. But, surprisingly, I closed the apps and reopen it after few minutes, I realised that my BB account already inside the list of my Prepaid Account login.

Think this issue only happened for those who have multiple CONNECT accounts. Digi seemed wanted to eliminate those with multiple CONNECT accounts and merge them into single account now, but not sure if Digi help to merge the accounts or due to certain actions I'd done on MyDigi Apps. Think the message "No valid number returned from CONNECT" meaning that the CONNECT account has no digi number linked already. So most likely that Digi already moved your number to your another CONNECT account.

Maybe you can give a try to login with your other CONNECT account Digi number.

Could be due to the 1GB free quota when you first signed in with MyDigi apps or on Digi website. I remembered previously that the free 1GB can't access Whatsapp at all. Try to deplete the 1GB quota then the Whatsapp will be back to normal. biggrin.gif

I'm using this as well, but not buy from China. There is a telephone port at the back but I never try to connect it since I'm using BB Plan only. You may try to connect a phone into that port and try to make call.

Nope. Max up to 4G/LTE only. But so far my speed can reach about 9mbps dl/ul with 3 bars signal. But sometimes maybe due to digi line congested, speed can drop to 2mbps-4mbps.

This happening to my Celcom line as well. When someone calling, my mobile Internet will be disconnected until the call is ended. So annoying especially during playing online game... mad.gif

I'm quite sure that this modem router can make call. I got another low spec modem which is Huawei B200, got telephone port as well. I insert the sim card and used it for my house alarm to dial out as my house area don't have any fixed phone line facility.
