QUOTE(jeffrey5337 @ Jul 21 2009, 06:56 PM) wanna test gt edge on ur area? very easy, juz use any digi sim card to surf internet, if appear as E, den u gt edge at ur area, if show G den means GPRS only~ Provided aliqueamyrei has a modem to test. If he is using a phone, must ensure that it comes with EDGE capability. Nowadays most 3G or 3.5G phones do not have EDGE. To know if your phone has EDGE capability, can check from http://www.gsmarena.com

QUOTE This plan offers unlimited data usage around the clock for only RM 66.00 per month. However do take note that this plan is only available for data usage and not for voice calls.
Please be informed that the broadband speed depends on the location and the device used as a modem. The maximum speed of GPRS is 115kbps and the average speed will be from 40 - 50 kbps. For EDGE compatible devices, the maximum speed is 384kbps, running on an average of 140 to 160kbps.
Felda HQ at Jalan Semarak and Desa Melawati, Wangsa Maju is covered by EDGE. Yea..its covered! This post has been edited by aliqueamyrei: Jul 22 2009, 10:49 AM

Is the coverage map here or here more accurate? The Google Maps on the broadband coverage map shows more EDGE coverage than the former coverage map. Just want to make sure that my area is covered before subscribing, at Malacca airport. And no, no one is using Digi in my house, so I can't test. Also, how satisfy are you towards Digi EDGE's coverage?

I wonder how slow the it is to stream YouTube videos using EDGE. I'm running a so-called video blog where I will look for videos on YouTube and blog it. I also wonder which such pathetic uplink, would it be even possible to lifestream on webistes like http://twitcam.com

It is clear who is the winner: EDGE DiGi Prepaid @ RM 5 Celcom Xpax daily broadband (done on EDGE - 3G keeps deopping to EDGE/GPRS) Now, one more time I hear anybody says a particular company is the fastest, widest, and greatest...

Upload speed so far the best I got is DiGi EDGE is using share ip so has problem to download using rapidshare unless u have a premium account
