guys, quick question.
i'm about to apply for EDGE. called up their CS to enquire; apparently i need to get a sim card for myself. means i need to buy a prepaid digi and then i subscribe to EDGE from the prepaid card.
is this the method? or can i just walk into a DIGI center and apply for EDGE?
and they claimed that i should use a phone to operate as a modem. i've got a ZTE modem, can i use my ZTE modem for EDGE?
thanks

I received a SMS from DiGi just now saying that there is a 50% off Data Unlimited Plan subscription via DiGi Postpaid, I guess they are now trying to get people to subscribe their EDGE service.

yah me too, i am digi postpaid data unlimited user ( RM 66 ) since 2006.
fULL text Msg is
Get 50% off Data Unlimited Plan Sub
scription via DIGI Postpaid. Visit Windows Mobile Experience Tour @ Low Yat Plaza (1-5 April) to redeem ur freebies! T&C apply.

from the sentence it seem like only for new DATA unlimited user Aka, new postpaid customer only. not sure old user can transfer to new or cheaper plan. can any one conform about this.

from the first day digi lunch 3G i had email their marketing dept calling thhem to reduce our EDGE Plan price to be lowered. seem like digi really listen to their cusomer. u all also try email via OCS then complaint on data plan price lahhh so that create like a lot concern about the price.

however, once price gone down many many many new user will come into Digi network and "Still Away" our Data bandwith smile.gif

by the way, EDGE user does u having dissconnect this few day at night. i mean 10pm to 2 am time, i do got dissconnect. my area is Ampang, Bkt Antarabangsa.

happiiii Forumiiinggg ..,.,., smile.gif

My living in damansara and the speed seems normal during those times as well but there were times in the past when it does seem slow around 10pm till 11pm ish but not anymore smile.gif

i find out a new trick ... ... ... while i beliefs many of u not notice. when we are online using our phone as modem to online on EDGE. no incoming call is aloow nor the automatic Miss Call Alert also not work at all.

while u online, when ppl call ur line, it is totally not reachable and most of time caller will hear "No is not in service" !!!

well, before getting start online, u may switch off the Voice Mail service, then can convert to another phone number aka our second spare phone.

it work for me for voice call at least ...

does any one one know how to divert the SMS too ? in fact maybe might be so hard smile.gif smile.gif

my modem dialer didnt have usage meter..and installin 3rd party prog would make my com and connection bit lag..

its better if it came from digi itself..more accurate biggrin.gif
