QUOTE(lordskarn @ Jan 20 2009, 05:55 AM) I just subscribed to Edge yesterday.. yay.. so far it hasnt disappointed me.. and I installed Symtorrent on my Nokia 5800 tube and was able to download around 17-18kBps on default settings.. not bad! Anyway RM66 per month for a speed better than dialup and unlimited usage plus you can terminate anytime, is good service! Go Digi! P/S : I do have 2mbps screamyx line at home, but the Edge is useful when travelling etc.. esp Google Maps, mail, msn etc on the phone.. dont need to keep worrying about how many kbps has been used! It is always handy to have a mobile broadband service as we cannot always rely on WiFi services. In terms of stability, it is thumbs up for DiGi's EDGE service.

The speeds are still considered decent plus if it is reliable then it is what most people want if they really need the mobility.

QUOTE(yshear @ Feb 9 2009, 11:13 PM) need help...my antivirus software cant update with my digi edge...some sort of dns error it wrote..cant anyone help? Just wait a while, it is probably a DNS server issue on DiGi's side, if it is still not resolved after some time then you should be reporting it to DiGi.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 11 2009, 07:17 AM) Guys, I might be subscribing to DiGi EDGE because I'm a D' Campus user and I only need to pay RM 30 for one month unlimited usage. I've a few questions here and hoping someone could help to answer them. I tried slotting in my DiGi SIM card and my area has full coverage of EDGE. So the maximum speed I can get? What about torrent? Can my MSN Messenger be connected using it? How about images or files uploading? I'm sick of Celcom broadband. Expensive but unreliable. The upload speed is miserably little thus it makes me difficult to post on LYN and upload any images or attachments to my e-mail. I'm hoping for positive outcome on DiGi EDGE. I don't mind slower speed but at least I know it is stable. Thanks for reading and waiting for replies. Uploading images is still a pain with DiGi EDGE but stability wise it is good and speeds are pretty consistent. Well, I don't think so the upload speed is really the main factor for the posting difficulties with Celcom Broadband as the upload speed with DiGi EDGE isn't that great after all but still there's no problem replying in this forum.

QUOTE(tenuk_cyber @ Mar 13 2009, 10:11 AM) i think i wanna change to celcom bcuz my area didnt support EDGE.horrible speed but izzit true celcom just RM68? wat about fair usage policy? Celcom Broadband has the D68 plan which is at RM68 monthly with speeds of up to 384kbps. The Fair Usage Policy for Celcom Broadband states that the monthly cap is at 5GB.

QUOTE(laststep @ Mar 13 2009, 11:34 AM) Hi, few noob questions 1) Digi got any coverage map for the edge data plan? How about the coverage in penang 2) Can use the HUAWEI E220 to connect to net? 3) The digi edge plan got data quote or really unlimited? The coverage map for their EDGE service should be at DiGi's website. Yes you may use Huawei E220 provided it is not locked. As far as I know, the EDGE service is really unlimited, however I may be wrong in this.

Can someone point me to the page i should go to? Anyway, i didnt see any contact period state in the website, does that mean we can terminate at any time? Try out this link for the coverage map.

QUOTE(tenuk_cyber @ Mar 13 2009, 07:51 PM) Honestly im regret subscribing DiGi bcuz not just about my area doesn't support EDGE, but it just not worth paying RM66 for 56kbps speed..haiz! Plus i cant get my money back, so gonna suffer this turtle until the end of the month! And gonna change to Celcom 3.6Mbps Well, at least you are sure to get stability with DiGi's service as Celcom Broadband isn't really consistent and can be quite frustrating at times.

QUOTE(fat16 @ Mar 14 2009, 09:35 AM) Celcom GPRS full speed is 82kbps. I dont know why Digi limit to 48kbps only. Digi is the only telco using GSM1800 network. GSM1800 have bigger time slot than GSM900. If Celcom can push GPRS to the limit, why not Digi ? Well, DiGi doesn't do it for their own reason. Also, DiGi always strive to maintain their network especially when it comes to stability, even their EDGE service is much better than Celcom Broadband.

QUOTE(amyhs99 @ Mar 15 2009, 12:26 AM) Finally they activate the line for me. Using DiGi EDGE to post now. Added on March 15, 2009, 8:45 pmSpeedtest result Consider good? Consider yourself to be lucky as this is by far one of the best speeds I've seen from a DiGi EDGE user. It is even faster than most Celcom Broadband users.

Well, sometimes speed isn't everything. Would you rather have good speeds occasionally but the connection isn't stable or would you rather have kinda low average speeds which is consistent and the connection is stable? This post has been edited by yongkailoon: Mar 16 2009, 10:57 AM

QUOTE(amyhs99 @ Mar 16 2009, 11:21 AM) I wan stable. That's why i subscribe DiGi. Btw, i seems to having some problem registering the DiGi OCS. I need to subscribe Autopay to have a RM5 rebate. For new registrations, it usually take within few working days before you can register for OCS. Mine took about 3 days if I'm not mistaken.

QUOTE(amyhs99 @ Mar 16 2009, 12:42 PM) Owh, didn't know such things. Btw, using webcam + browsing still acceptable. I love DiGi. Usually, the data received/sent by a webcam will be compressed so usually there won't be problems using a webcam, the latency/ping will be the one that determines the smoothness of the video as long as your bandwidth is able to support it.
