Just go ss15 shop in subang and change the battery. Rm90 only include labour.

may i know the name of the shop or exact location? asked a seller at bangi, rm150 plus 3 months warranty. quite a steep price, lazada only sell rm70>..rm90 plus labour quite fair.

On power saving mode? You can check battery manager to see which apps is top list.

Just updated to the new version.

It is just a security update as I expected. Seeing the size is about ~470MB which is quite small for a major update like Oreo.

I believe this update is to mitigate the Meltdown & Spectre issue.

Btw, this update contains Android December 2017 security patches.

Did anyone of you suffer battery issue? I get random shutdown from 20% - 30% and yesterday it got worst. Shutdown at 70%.

Huawei SC ran out of battery replacement since Dec 2017.

So far i did not observe the issue that you saw. I still managed to drain the battery down to around 15% last night and charge it up.

Did you see this issue with the latest update that was rolled out recently?

The battery issue started before I updated the OS. I think it's due to my charging style which damaged the battery but so far the other note2 and OPOne still okay...

I don't see any difference performance wise.

Nowadays I do not track closely the battery drain as long as I can get 2-3 days usage in 1 charge. I am not a heavy user and most of the time my phone is idling.

I do. And I was so tired of the issue I upgraded to a Note 8.
Random shut down when the battery reached around 50%.

I think it is hardware issue, you can try order the battery from ebay or lazada & replace by yourself

can anybody guide me to a trusted seller / shop / online seller in KL, Shah Alam or so for mate 8 battery replacement? Been trying find one but to no avail

ps: directD will need preorder and will take 2-3 weeks before battery arrive
pss: bought one from lazada (Price-Checked.com), but could not last more than a month. got a replacement battery from them too but the lifespan is still less than a month
