I'm considering to apply a credit card for airasia big point collection. Currently found 2: Citibank Airasia Platinum visa vs Alliance Bank Visa Platinum. It appears that Alliance Visa has better redemption rate (3000 points to 1000 BIG points) over Citibank Visa (2000 points to 500 BIG points), and Alliance Visa has AF waiver for minimum annual spending of RM5000.

Need suggestion on which card to get and if there's any other cards that have better offer. Thank you!

Dear all,

Not sure whether this is the correct place to ask.

Annual gross income more than 30K. Works in a MNC company

Tried applied CC with most banks but none was approved. Reasons being might because i dont have any commitment with any banks (loans etc).

Any idea which banks which is more lenient in this kin of issue?

Thanks

1. Annual Income:

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee:

3. Card required for:

4. Existing credit cards (if any): List them or Nil.

5. Interested in CC from:
Try to get a Basic CC from the bank of your salary credit into... becos of they got your salary transaction info & maybe not too Stingy to approve their Credit Card to you.

You can own a basic credit card to Build up your Credit History 1st, the Card like CIMB CR or Maybank2 Cards quite a decent Card for a NewB like U becos of it's Free for Life no worry with Annual fee. Other cards u can consider HLB Essential, HLB Mach AF waiver with 12x swipes p.a only.

After that, your may get 2nd CC & it can be something that offers extra benefits based on your lifestyle and spending habits like, UOB One or Citibank CB Card. nod.gif

FYI, Reason of CC Rejection

1. Annual Income: 30k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Depends. Dont mind if there's option if swipe a few times within specified days to waive annual fees

3. Card required for: No specific requirements. Just for occationally usage

4. Existing credit cards (if any): None

5. Interested in CC from: Any banks willing to offer me. No particular banks.
Salary credited to Hong Leong Bank. Tried applied there also was rejected. Had worked for more than 5 years.

Applied CC from Standard Chartered, Maybank, HLB, Citi, RHB. All was rejected. When called up and asked, they say that most probably due to no financial commitment.  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

Left UOB, CIMB, HSBC, Ambank, btw what's the Nature of Your Job...? hmm.gif

try UOB are Lenient compare to other but got Annual fee
HSBC are Lifetime fee Waiver due to min.12X Swipes p.a
Ambank, CIMB are FREE for Life

OR
Use FD Pleading with RM5K at HLB to get Credit Card (since your Salary Account is HLB). Start to build up your Credit History with FD Pledging 1st, maybe a year or after U got Credit History You can apply Credit card with your own Salary income... (This the Last Solution) console.gif
