Thanks for the recommendations! Will take a look at those.

How do you recommend/fare the above options against Master - Ambank WMC ? (Unlimited PPL for 26 airports), Overseas expenses RM1 = 1 air mile point as the 4th card?
*
AmBank VISA Infinite Card /AmBank World MasterCard (Income Requirement: RM120K p.a)
• 5X AmBonus Points for overseas spend. The reward of 5X AmBonus Points is only applicable to card transactions outside Malaysia.
• All online transactions are not entitled to 5X AmBonus Points regardless the country the Cardmember is in.
• Free-For-Life, NO conditions attached
• Unlimited lounge access without condition
• Complimentary Hilton Premium Club Membership Card
(Note: Membership is automatically renewed annually with just a min retail usage of RM30,000)
• Air Miles Frequent Flyer / Travel Reward Programs (Note: 5,000 AmBonus points = 1,000 Air Miles)
http://www.ambank.com.my/eng/cards/visainfinite

the people get This Card becos it's FREE for Life with No AF +Unlimited PPL access from Various location with No condition attached... it's more like a Pure Air-miles CC to the cardholder. As we know most the Air-miles Earning + PPL Access Privileges credit card may come with an Annual Fee like more than $600 a year & with limited Choice of PPL Access. Visa Infinite got more Perks of Privileges, Promo compare to WMC but, WMC will get better oversea conversion rate compare to VI so why not get Both cards... brows.gif icon_idea.gif thumbsup.gif

So last year got the Hong Leong Fortune Card...

Cash Back around 6*$50 (monthly above $5000 spending) + $1800 (1 time bonus for spending above $108,000 per year) for a total of RM2,100 Cash Back...

Wondering if there is any better cash back card for spending between 50k to 100k for my 2017/2018 period...
And moving onto 2019 onwards would be spending 400~500k (house reno...) so any card that can get flat % Cash Back? Cause if 1% from 500k also 5k liao.. better then HLB Fortune...

QUOTE(MeToo @ Aug 31 2017, 11:41 PM)
Awesome thanks mate.

Looking thru this... Amex Cash Back is not bad for anything above 200k spent.... 108k and below still HLB Fortune better.

RHB Plat nothing special, I rate it below Amex CB Gold.

HLB Essential no good...

Now Alliance.... I'm not sure how to intepret this..

Monthly Spend (RM) Rebate (%)
0 - 1,000                   0.50
1,001 - 2,000           1.50
2,001 - 3,000           3.00
> 3,000 0.30

Does this mean first 1k is 0.5%, second 1k is 1.5% and third 1k is 3%? Or if we spend 3k a month its a flat 3%?
Anyway for high spending... its no good as anything above 3k gets a measly 0.3%...
*
Alliance You:nique: 0.5 - 3% CB from RM0 - RM3000 Spending, Lifetime fee Waiver with 12X Swipes p.a & also Good with PTPTN. thumbsup.gif
http://www.alliancebank.com.my/younique

Monthly Spend (RM) Rebate (%)
0 - 1,000 0.50
1,001 - 2,0001.50
2,001 - 3,0003.00
> 3,0000.30

How Alliance You:nique Cash back tier Works: -
RM3000 (Spend) = RM (1000 x 0.5%) + (1000 x 1.5%) + (1000 x 3%) = 5 + 15 + 30 = Max. RM50 CB, & after RM3k it's Only 0.3% (No Cap).

However, HLB Fortune- need min. spending RM2k to qualify 1% CB, this is a good card if you could spend at least RM 2k but capped at RM 5k (RM 50 cash back).
For this Card needs to spend at least RM 2k per month and the CB it will not be accumulated. If cannot achieve 2K then CB will be burn off. sweat.gif
And, Amex CB Gold got 70 Bucks Annual Fee... whistling.gif

Btw, the HLB Essential earns up to 1% Cash Back on all valid Retail Transactions (except Petrol & Government Trasactions) also a Good Card as a Spare... nod.gif
i. Cash Back:
* 0.6% Cash Back for all Insurance transactions
For other Retail Transactions,
* Tier 1 – 0.6% Cash Back for first RM5,000 spend
* Tier 2 – 1% Cash Back for subsequent spend

Thanks for the explanation!

Seems You:nique is not right for me... The CB is way too low.

HLB fortune the advantage is the annual bonus

Total annual spend                 Bonus
= RM38,000                              RM280
RM68,000                                RM880
RM108,000                               RM1,800

So if we spend 108k for the year.... The CB is actually 1.66% ontop of the potential 1%/RM50 per month.

Next is HLB Essential vs MBB Amex Gold. These 2 depends on monthly spending Vs big 1 time swipe. Cause the HLB loses out of rm20 monthly due to the lower CB for first 5k while Amex gold loses out on Annual Fee.
*
Do you have Maybank 2Cards...? blink.gif
* 5x Treats-Points for every Ringgit spent on Maybankard 2 Amex and 1x Treats Point on MasterCard / Visa Card Maybankard 2 Card.
* 5% Weekend Cashback when spend on Maybank2 Amex, CB capped at RM50 / month.

For what I have is

Maybank 2 card. Visa and AMEX. With AMEX giving 5% on cash rebate on weekend.

Then saw this HSBC Amanah i card with 8% cashbacks on Petrol and Groceries which is better than AMEX. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And then found out that I card is Islamic card which have limitations in using the card at Overseas then since I'm a frequent flyer i go for HSBC Visa Platinum which have me higher credit limit too.

Then realise I don't have MasterCard and browse around to come across this CIMB Enrich Platinum MasterCard with more benefits for frequent flyer, entries to Golden Lounge and etc. Since I have an Enrich member card I try to apply and got it approve with additional Visa Platinum given as combine limit.

That's all I have and to avoid having more credit card, I gotta stop applying. Lol
*
HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i - 2% cash back for spend < RM2000 & 8% Cash Back on Petrol and Groceries only for total monthly spend of RM2,000 and above.
2 or 8 % CB Coverage from,
Petrol – Shell, Caltex and Petronas.
Groceries – Giant, Tesco, AEON Big and Mydin.
AND,
They only Credit back the 2 / 8% (Groceries, Petrol) CB to Your account about 2 Months later... yawn.gif sweat.gif doh.gif
So that, U can get 0.2 + ( 2 or 8 %) CB whistling.gif

CASH BACK ON PETROL & GROCERIES (pg.4)
8. Only the primary Eligible Cardholder will receive the Cash Back on Petrol and Groceries. This Cash Back will be credited into the primary Eligible Cardholders’ HSBC Amanah Cash Back Card account within 6 weeks after the end of each Participating Month and will be reflected in the following month’s statement.

https://sp.hsbc.com.my/microsites/mplat-int...FINAL_27JAN.pdf

HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i - As Holder of Islamic CC are Permitted to Carry out HALAL Transaction, Except the Transaction Related with 6 Categories that Don't meet Shariah Requirement, These Categories are Bars, Disco, Night Clubs, Purchase of Beer, Massage Service, Escort & Gambling.
If you use this Card at place or Based upon Merchant Category Code (MCC)
MCC 5813 - Drinking Places, Bars, Taverns, Cocktail Lounges, Nightclubs and Discotheques- the Transaction will definitely be Rejected, CC Declined...

However, It's OK NO Problem to use it at Non-Hahal Chinese Restaurant like Dragon-i, Canton-i... nod.gif

Hi Everyone ,

Would like your advice on this. Basically i'm looking for a card that's best suited to rack up Airmiles (Enrich / Airasia) along with Lounge access. Job travels a fair bit around South East Asia and Hong Kong so i'd like a card that's beneficial to me in that regards.

Currently using HSBC Signature but with the recent changes to airmiles redemption and benefits i'm quite dissapointed with it now.

Any card recommendations for annual income 60k?

Current using Maybank Gold 2 cards. Thinking of upgrading but not sure which card to choose from.

Main priorities will be no annual fee, reward points and rebates on grocery/online shopping. Not really need petrol as i dont drive much.

How are the treat point system for other banks? Currently only have experience  with Maybank's.
*
Maybank 2 Cards ....You already got It cool2.gif
