Hi everyone,

Which cashback card would you recommend if I already have:
PBB VS, Q MC, Q V
Maybank Amex, Barcelona VS, and Ikhwan Gold
Ambank True
UOB YOLO
Affin Duo

Aiming for CB for reloads of e-wallets.

Thanks.

can use the above as general reference; some may be obsolete or revised.

Is this 3x wave reset per day limit or cumulative limit?
*
cumulative

no reset or whatsoever

3x wave > pin reset > 3x wave > pin reset > and so on continuously

Sorry for offtopic a bit. What is the best way to pay for TNB security deposit of 1.5k for maximum cashback?
*
last i tried, tnb deposit over-the-counter payment is using MCC 4900 (utilities)

you need some card(s) that doesnt exclude Utilities.

if TNB counter accept multiple payments, then better.... if not, a bit tough to find a suitable card to swipe 1.5k one-shot to get direct cb

example

1) affin VS - 3%, wave-only up to RM250 per transaction (any PIN entry will not valid, even started as wave). need to reset with pin after 3x wave. tedious to manage. if you have 2 affin VS, can do 6 times laugh.gif 2 cards x (250+250+250) = 1500

2) public bank quantum visa - 5%, wave-then-pin up to rm600 to get cb rm30 (capped). if you have mulitple quantum visa, can get something here

3) alliance VS

indirect maybe just to fulfill card cb requirements? like some cards need RM2.5k or 3k spending to eligible for cb, etc etc

Any good replacement credit card for the PBB Quantum master since they no longer give cash back for TNG reloads
*
follow template from post #2

in general, can get Affin Duo (3%) or Public Islamic Visa Plat (4%) or UOB Yolo (5%).

as usual, T&Cs applies

I only look at the cash back for Visa,

Not sure if online e wallet reload counts as contactless transaction.

cuz Affin duo specifies e wallet can cash back
*
simple to compare

duo = online

duo+ = offline/contactless (physical wave the card on terminal)

contactless IS NOT online ya

Thanks, I think I will get both: Duo for e wallet and duo + for grocery/other offline tap.

Thanks
*
but be mindful of this

duo = consist of 2 cards, cashback and rewards

duo+ = also consist of 2 cards, cashback and rewards

for both rewards cards, can choose not to activate it (without getting SST) .... for the time being ... we dont know how/when affin going to treat unactivated cards for long-term

and no, you cannot cancel either card. cancellation will be both cards.

hi, since pbb changed cash back t&c, im finding replacement card
current looking uob yolo and one, anyone know yolo cash back capped rm200k is only for ewallet? and uob one need spend each category to rm100/150 to get 10% cb?
*
since your questions specific to uob cards, can do some search in UOB topic

one's cb can be any combination of categories, as long as meeting min monthly spend for each card type (basic or plat)

yolo's 200k is cb allocation for EVERYONE, hence it will be FCFS. also there is min monthly spend.

Currently, I am thinking of the following:

Quantum Master replace with Affin Duo.

QV replace potentially with UOB One (I understand they are different but most of my contactless are dining and groceries anyway).

VS replaces Duo+ due to a higher CB limit and no min spend per transaction.
However, VS has free lounge access and better promotions than Duo+, is this worth the jump?
Or just maintain and get an extra card?
Or don't bother getting Duo+?
*
keep PB VS to keep your credit line available
get Duo+
mix use between Duo+ for daily small usage and PB VS (>rm100, G.O.D. categories).

*
maxed out from real spending or cashing out?

might just leave some $$ in boost or tng ewallet and pay TNB bills from there lor

unless u pay company tnb bills with hundreds or thousands RM to pay

points card: maybe try cimb ecard. try read the features and exclusions.

Hi all sifus, anyone can recommend a good cashback credit card for retail + online purchases? I'm currently preparing for a baby so got a lot of things to swipe, wanna make full use of the CC.

Understand there's no one-super-balanced CC, what CC do you guys use to make the best bang out of your buck?

Currently I'm doing this (which I feel may not be the best):
- Standard Chartered: For online purchases & Shopee/Lazada/TNG top-up
- Citibank or HSBC: For everyday use cuz got up to RM50 cashback (but low percentage, only at 2%).
- UOB: For postpaid bills and petrol

Also, is cashback per month more worth it, or is it better to collect points (like Maybank AMEX) or air miles? In terms of value.

Thanks!
