Hello guys,

Just finished testing out MyLar2 and MyLar3 with yuheng.
Me and my friend both a pair of MyLar3 each. Thanks yuheng for a good service.

My verdict, good quality and value for money.
Don't get turned away just because of the look of it.
It's the music that counts! smile.gif

That's all for now, going to continue burning my new pair of MrLar3.

Hello guys,

Another new user of Mylars3 reporting here. I'm going to write a full review after burn-in . My first impression of the phone is , very very clear treble , the mid tone is great. I tested out with sun yan zi's songs and this phone simply rocks on it. The bass is also tight, smooth. I believe this phone has very great potential for a large variety of music except for techno/trance.

Cool item here.

Alright, it has been more than 24 hours since the magic of Mylars playing tricks with my ears , pumping and vibrating each pulse of music precisely into the air streaming into my eardrum. The outcomes are more than just satisfying , this pair of earphone does really enlighten you the essence of listening to crips , sharp and colorful mid tones . I have very slender experience dealing with high quality headsets or amplifier sweat.gif In fact, I have only spent a fraction of time with some high quality audio stuff at my uncle's or other occassions rclxub.gif The best sound system i have is th bloody 5.1 Pionner RM2k theatre sound system doh.gif . However, i would still love to express my truly but nothing more than naive comments on this MylarsX3.

wink.gif Before starting , I had to remind you guys the Mylars has only been burnt for 6 hours because i simply forgot to turn on the media player after plugging it into my pc sweat.gif

Ok,let's skip the crap. I'll start with the high frequencies and mid tones. The vocals played on this phone is very nice , it is very sharp and clear . Whereas the high frequencies get very smooth . I can hear a lot of background music clearly like coming out from separate channel to the vocal. rclxm9.gif Regarding the bass, it is tight and adequate enough to deliver nice pop music . However, when i tested on Chingy's 'Right Thurr' , i believe there's more to ask for , personally . But i hope a longer period of burn in can compensate this. Oh, i forgot to mention about the isolation , yea, i can keep the TV noise out when playing a music.

cool.gif At the price of RM 165 , this is a good grab . thumbup.gif rclxms.gif

wub.gif I'm in love with my Mylars with Black Strips.

wanna add that i tested the mylar2 xb on Saturday nite and IMO they are musically good. either the x2 or x3 will serve as great beginner cans and i seriously doubt they can be beat for the money. in a nutshull:

x2 if u like a warm signature and scales well on amplification.
x3 if u like clean & clear sound siggy and does quite well unamped.

yeah man...i was so amazed when i heard it at the meet.

my source was a W810i and i tested with Cradle of Filth - From the Cradle To Enslave. i use this song for alot of my audio testing...from headphones to car ICE. because it has sound stage effects, highs, mids, and of course bass.

but not just bass, this song really seperates the bass guitar and the bass pedals (drums). even my ICE has a hard time seperating the 2. with my current ICE setup, the bass pedals are very dominant while the bass guitar can only be slightly heard. which means i need to tune my ICE tongue.gif right now the bass is very overpowering..hahah.

anyway..about the X3. unamped the highs were pleasant with these cans. not paintful. the mids although only extremely slightly recessed still had that in-your-face feeling. the soundstage was of course not as wide as my Beyers but blardy hell these little buggers did it quite well. and of course the bass. like i said..i could tell both drum pedals and bass guitar. they were both clearly heard. the way its meant to be heard. everything sounded SSSOOOOOOO GOOD that when yuheng said "if u want one lemme know", i immediately replied "i want one..im telling u now, i want one". hahahaha

i also tested with the LDM+ using Canare L-4E6S+neutrik mini as the interconnect. i couldnt tell much of a difference unamped. so it still sounded exceedingly good. if there were any differences between the 2, im gonna need to listen to it a whole lot more to be able to compare. at least now i have an extra volume control biggrin.gif

so i bought one... (thanks yuheng and walabies) but the main reason i was testing out IEMs was because i was looking for a good IEM for my GF who uses the same phone as mine. the LDM+ was originally bought for her as well. she is very musically inclined. a singer in a band and plays the guitar. so she knows how to appreciate good sound.

after the meet i went to see her in LYP for some shopping. after shopping, we got in the car and i gave her the X3. she immediately tested it unamped. she listens mainly to avril lavigne, some rock here and there...emo songs bla bla bla...songs that would make me scream in agony laugh.gif metal head maaaaaa kakakakaka

she loves them. she really does. plus the package it comes with, the hard case, the wrap thingy and the extra buds...she really dig them IEMs. she had them on for the entire trip back from LYP to PJ. even singing out loud. she also tested them with the LDM+ while on the way back. she says the sound was very smooth flowing. unlike the original IEM that came with the phone, the X3 doesnt hurt her ears even at high volume.

best part was...i was joking with her and i asked her 2 questions as a joke...

Me: Can I have them back?
Her: NO!

Me: Can I buy another pair for myself?
Her: OK...

shocking.gif

i was real shocked when she said ok...she even said ok without a second thought. she really never lets me spend money on all these things. even my Beyers oso i lied to her about the price and brought it down more than half...tat oso she made hell of alot of noise. which means if she said yes, that would mean she REALLY likes them.

i also asked her if she wanted to listen with or without the amp. she wanted the amp even before she knew i bought it for her wink.gif

seriously, im tempted to buy another pair for myself. but i cant justify the purchase as i have no need for a portable setup wink.gif
