Ah... RS1. Got stock but hmm, mine is slightly expensive again... If you ever want it I can quote for you.
*

Darn you walabies!! You should've said that they were out of stock!! Now I'm very contemplated to get a pair. OK, give me a quote. On the other hand, just keep it in mind first as I won't be around. I'll be going to China for 2-3 weeks. If I'm lucky enough, I might bring back some goodies. Some LD tube amps perhaps? brows.gif brows.gif

QUOTE(yuheng @ May 2 2007, 01:10 AM)
how was the m3 quality when pairing with ur AMP?? tongue.gif
*
I wouldn't know as I haven't really tested them yet. But I did a very quick test just now and... well.. it sort of loosens things up a bit. Without the amp, they sounds very controlled, taut, and sometimes can be clinical (depending on the music you're listening to). With the amp, it adds some warmness, opens up the soundstage a little bit, but the bass can be a little bit overwhelming (again, depends on the music you're listening too). Hmm.. I suspect it will sound better with better source. More critical listening later..

And who said the M3s are comparable to HD650??? I'd like to meet this guy mad.gif You don't want the M3s to be listed in the top ten most overrated phones do you?

to be very honest, I can't afford neither the PPAv2 nor the Tomahawk, let alone the W5000. So I can only say that the Mylar X3 is the best value for money purchase that I've ever made smile.gif rclxms.gif

.....or make a adapter like picture below so that you doesn't have to operate the earphone itself which operating it will void the warrenty. ...
PcWork, can get me one of those? hmm.gif

QUOTE(am3 @ Aug 11 2007, 08:05 PM)
I mean that the iem gives sound that is accurate to the original recording. meaning no coloration, or excessive here and there. i think sony's earphone is not accurate, it distort the original sound, make it more boomy, and the music will sound different than studio recording.

I want a more analytical sound. No distortion so that i can hear the recording as it is recorded. distortion or excessive equalizing might gives a more pleasant sound but it could be distorted....

So i want it to sound like it was recorded in the studio, with no addition and distortion.

hope i make myself clear...  hmm.gif
What you need is a pair Etymotics smile.gif

I'll be waiting. Shall I start the countdown? tongue.gif

QUOTE(am3 @ Aug 13 2007, 05:25 PM)
Thanks. I think this will be okay for my first iem.

This forum is poisonous.

Any advice on how to care or mod for the m3? I heard somewher that it's build quality is not the best and need better care than some other brand but it has improved upon m1.

Added on August 13, 2007, 5:25 pmI don't want m2 as it's too bassy?
*
No special care is needed for the M3s. I treat the M3s like any other IEMs. And oh, the M3s have traveled almost half the globe and they still Rock!! thumbup.gif
BTW, err.. the PK1s are not bad either brows.gif brows.gif
