hey with he introduction lower transaction of Rm25000 threshold requirement for bank reporting recently, will we get in trouble if FD transfer from bank to get better promo FD rates.

Today again took out from HL matured FD.

Took a BC from HL bank. Went to B Islam for 24 mth step up with effective rate of 4.65%.

Only now found out that BI branch allow cheque and effective rate on the same day, instead of after cheque clearance. Last time asked, they say can only receive FD cert after cheque clearance and effective date after cheque clearance.

Would have saved some trouble and saved few ringgit if used cheque instead of RENTAS in the fund for previous 2 FD placed in BI. tongue.gif

My case Bank Islam Kinrara branch to open new account. I've prepared two options, IFT from two banks into BI, or write cheque. I asked if use cheque how ? CS answer will put today's date. So I wrote a cheque.

Filled up forms to open account with RM20 and FD forms. Collect the cert, etc. all done within 1 hour. Only need to pay for parking + petrol.

Any good deals right now for low entry amount? Looking to put in about RM2k but all the offers are RM10k min. sad.gif

Do 3 month rollover e FD (online) at board rates first and add on gradually. Many banks allow min of 1k for 3m and above.
