HLB has been promoting eFD more than FD. visiting bank won't necessarily gaining any much rate
*
no idea, maybe other bank possible.

I read from here before.

Anyway, i have no chance to have such experience... holding 1M to negotiate the rate... tongue.gif

Ended earlier due to fund size achieved, good business!
*
It used to be extend for the past, which i still hope for that....

So now either too many people plenty of cash on hand, or maybe less people go for loan, so they don't need so much fund...

Another possibiility is that banks will reduce rate some more, so if they take on too many depositors, when rate reduce while they are paying present rate, boss don't like this.
*
I don't think will be so soon, as just reduced right before CNY.

Maybe less promo... which I still hope they will...

Now economy is mess up by the COVID-19 virus.... sad.gif

if you have mbb casa, can use the fund directly. just remember to choose Islamic Fixed Deposit (eIFD-i)

if fund directly from other banks, then FPX transfer is the method (source bank -> FPX -> maybank eFD/eIFD)

Great info & screen shared!

I so used to from MBB FPX to HLB only. Since can be done from CASA, then I will transfer back all to MBB, then place it direct from my Saving.

Thanks ya notworthy.gif

Hi,

Any difference between profit rate and interest rate?
What i heard is profit rate is divided between bank and you, while interest rate 100% goes into your pocket.
Please advise. Thanks.
*
As i know is just the term they use different for Islamic product only.

No worry, interest that you get still the same.

Don't think it will end soon. Sure extend looking at the current rate.
*
Yes, looking on it should be extend.

Maybe lot of people or business out there need loan, hope bank will offer more attractive rate to get more fund.

Of course won't be as good as before.

HLBB revised its rates to 3.0% already. No more 3.1%.
*
Huh... they change quietly even the banner at login page still show 3.1%

I thought they will increase a little bit, since their competitor is slightly higher, didn't expect they go lower.

Yes...not very ethical and updated from their side. Anyway can forget about them since other banks are offering much better rates.
*
True, even MBB better than them now.

I just login to their page yesterday, just did not click apply in just to check the rate. I assume the banner is there, the promo is valid.

ok, moving the egg out.

Couldn't find this on the HLB promotion page, but when playing around with the FD placement, found this:

Option for promotion: Yes

Clicked on more details:

3 months, eFD conventional 2.55%
3 months, eFD islamic 2.65%

Mininmum placement RM5000, FPX only.
Not a big promotion, just a little step-up only.
