Just went to Bank Islam, here are the conditions if want to place FD with joint name:

(1) Cheque to place FD must be 2 names
(2) Both must present when place FD
(3) Both must present when withdraw FD

Question: Then why Bank Islam can put "one to sign" on FD cert?
Answer from Bank Islam: "one to sign" is to allow one of depositors to come to check balance (is it necessary to check..??  )

Question: Why both must present when withdraw FD?
Answer from Bank Islam: Because there were some cases happened in the past that after one depositor had withdrew FD, another depositor complained.

If submit banker's cheque, FD can effective on the same day. But maybe can only collect FD cert after cheque clearance.

the guy told me that 4.1% fd has reached the quota
now can only get 4.05 :-(
as I as in a hurry, no choice, i did mine at4.05

Standard Chartered has 5% FD rate, anyone got hold of the news too? i see flyers in their branches but not in the websites

Bank officer called and said got this promo, the rate was too good to be true . On the phone didn’t said must bundle, probably will only tell me this if agreed to meet up… 

Hello, can anyone tell me if MBSB allows to set up advance instruction before the maturity date to renew FD (you call that rollover?)  I have an FD matured on 24th May saturday, but I will be away for few weeks, and not able to renew or setup new FD on 26th May.  Can I walk in to branch before 24th May to ask the bank to set up renewal instruction in advance ?    Please advise, thanks.

I did have few FD from Muamalat that is still running with mthly profit.

For this one has to wait till June to confirm as their FD cert never show the mthly profit option.
