I saw they mentioned annual fee will be waived if the card is tied to basic savings account-i or basic current-account-i.
Any idea the bundled CASA is it under one of it?  I havent created online banking account to check the details yet.

Interestingly i followed Option 1 and it works.
Just now tried Option 2 it only gives board rate.
Ahhh guess will have to cancel the MBSB debit card before time up.

We won't be seeing these kind of rate for the near foreseeable future, at least for next year. I really hope I am wrong.

3.85 is one of the best we got now for pure FD, so it will have to do.

Is it possible to open any of the following savings accounts instead?

a) Wise Saver Savings Account-I, with savings interest rate of 2.25% and Min. Balance of RM 10.00; or,

b) Cash Rich Savings Account-i, with savings interest rate of 2.68% and Min. Balance of RM 50.00.

not hlb's fault

hlb is waiting for response from paynet/fpx. when they delay, hlb will be delayed as well because hlb cannot verify if the transfer was successful.

paynet/fpx is the middleman that handle the bank-2-bank transfer.

i did an online fpx fd placement via hongleong connect yesterday morning and the fd was not reflected in my account!The status when i placed the fd is this :
Accepted for Processing
(FD Placement might not be reflected immediately in your account details due to FPX's batch processing. If you experience this, please come back 30 minutes later to check.)

But after 12 hours , the FD is still not reflected in my account, i called the customer service and she said it will take 3 days for processing!i told her fpx usually will reflect immediately, obviously there was a problem and she just told me she will highlight to the e banking team and asked me to check tomorrow morning which is today.

Today i checked again, nothing...so sad..anyone here has encountered this before?

Ah I see, do you perhaps know if i decided to take 1 month FD placement in Affin FD Plus 2, after 1 month, If I want to continue the placement, do I need to redo the placement in branch or just don't withdraw the fund will automatically let me continue the placement?

I recalled someone mentioned can ask bank to issue bank draft for RM0.65 fee but i went to CIMB they said its RM5.

Never experienced RM0.65 fee for bank draft before. Always got charged RM5 for it.

Does anyone know how to identify if your FD account is eFD or FD OTC (for CIMB)? CIMB clicks does not indicate whether FD is eFD or not.

I tried logging into my CIMB account and couldn't find the 3.8% FD that you've mentioned..only 3.1%
