Ignore the multiplier effect. Assuming losing 100 per 4yrs. Assuming a person can live 80yrs n able to place fd for 60yrs it's onli 15 rounds of losing in 100 which sum up to 1500.

1 cny dinner gone liao by ignoring future inflation. If one need to go deeper to include multiplier effect which I'm lazy to calculate it can go up to max 3k I guess. Divide it into 60yrs of FD journey it's 50 per year. I wonder how much a person lose let say waited few days for new FD promo. Obviously it's not tat significant to me.

Anyway it's no harm learning something new 😊

Blame it to bnm incompetency otherwise we are talking bout average 4.8% if it wasn't because of them halted the increment for 2 rounds 😡

Singapore FD rate soften also for the past 2 mths from 4.0 to 3.5.

GBP FD also down from 5.4 to 4.8 to now 4.3. USD FD stil at 4.8 eventhough soften also.

All the above are average ya from few banks.

Whatever the local FD is very disappointing.

Sg FD rates are down further across all banks. Wonder if this will affect the local FD rate? 🙈
