talk nicely with the branch manager and you can get a better rate. amount 500k and above.

MBSB rate can be nego. Each branch had slightly different rate with HQ approval.

The party like a hari raya open house with lot of foods.

It always helps to talk nicely laugh.gif

The branch manager informed earlier this month that the promo rates i.e. the rates in the system that people know about through the RMs and managers (especially as nowadays they don't bother to post them in the branches or on their websites! hmm.gif ) are not negotiable, but special rates for other tenors can be sought upon request.

At that time, the special rates could be sought for tenors above 15 months, but for FD up to 15 months, will just get the promo rates.

Is this still the case, or can special rates be requested for ALL tenors (as long as got big money) including those tenors with promo rates?

usually not the same

also, no change in PB/PiB rates since April
*
PBB view seems to be that yield curve beyond 1 year is going down, offering lower rates after 12 months. hmm.gif

MBSB promo rates expired on 31 May. Anyone knows what their promo rates are now, if any?

Oh. Coz I googled and calculated 15 June 2023 + 365 days, that’s how I got 14 June 2024 (plus next year is leap year). Yea, I know they depends on moon sightings sometimes. So if next year really confirmed 17 June 2024 is public holiday, I lose 1 day interest?
*
Won't lose. bank will give you one more day interest

Long-awaited announcement from BR. Above market average, but well below BI.

Are these rates negotiable, based on amount? smile.gif

went to BI today put some FD
still got stock dont worry.. till end of the year
but with BLR going up later even 4.5% wont be attractive at all
*
Did you confirm with them if OPR rises by another 25bp, will the FD rate rise to 4.75%?

Then no need to rush now, can wait another 6 months biggrin.gif

Can anyone help?

Your eFD is matured today and likely to be auto renewed.
RHB system will processed the changes at their end of day night processing. Somehow RHB online cannot reflected the new information today like other bank online system.
This is why you are still seeing the current information which is confusing.

If you wait until tomorrow, you will see your FD renewed etc and had accrued interest for 1 day based on new rate.
You will see the screen similar to mine where you will lost 1 day interest if you withdraw.
*
Yeah, RHB system is a bit confusing. I have encountered this before too.

As discussed in this forum last year, the zero interest shown is based on the renewed FD today i.e. accrued from today onwards. If withdrawn today, will get full interest for the FD maturing today. I got my interest when I withdrew online on the maturity date itself.

It should be fine to withdraw your FD today @sirius 2017 but, if in doubt, just check with their CS.

Sure it does count. I always transfer out fund from my PBB, then i do an PBB efd using fpx. No problem at all.
*
So actually they don't need to specify fresh funds. Wasting customer time and banking resources to transfer out and then fpx back in laugh.gif
