I was thinking of going for AmBank 50/50 FD/True Saver promo. Though looks a bit complicated, but thinking can still
fulfill the requirements for the bonus interest.

I tired to read the T n C of the True Saver/FD combo. So long as the True Saver 50% (MAB monthly average balance) amount is counted in the bonus interest, should be OK to achieve higher than the non bonus of 4.0%. Also fulfilling the other requirements listed like 3k bank in, spending/usage of credit cards etc.

However the 18 month 4.1% is good that in case the OPR drops then we can enjoy longer period of higher interest vs the above 12 months.

Add Thurs OPR meeting announcement. Today got FD matured. Haha.

In AmBank today. For the True Saver/FD promo need to be PB customer. Or with 200k or above in your account (which qualifies for PB customer).

OPR wise, with some news today, looks like will stay for now. But hopes it can still go up in future.

Their system not stable. Encountered before, today same but 30 minutes later OK, done their 3 mths FD for short term purpose.

Agreed. Encountered same problem as u mentioned for FD placement on/off for months. Even fund transfer sometimes also got problem. "System Not Available".

Bank Islam seemed to be promoting heavily on their FD and investment products. Received 2 calls from their staff today.

The MaxCash promo has been mentioned earlier, the 70/30 FD/SA promo.

Another one is investment for 2 years with expected return of 4.39%. They claimed that they have been achieving the "expected" returns in the past.

Their FD one is better, no need to worry. Investment plan one definitely not fixed, but similar to some other banks TIAi maybe. They call it "Ihsan" .

Haha, for BI the officer only dared say "expected" return has been achieved in past years.

It seems to me they may be referring to online purchase not in store purchase ?

MBSB FD promo, please call them before going as it needs HQ approval. May need higher amount to qualify.

2 mths @ 4% (maturity)
15mths @ 4% (monthly profit)
18mths @ 4.05% (monthly profit)
24 mths @ 4.10% (monthly profit)

Haha, u know which state I am in. U probably has to state the FD amount, likely to need excess of 100k. Did u mention the amt u intend to place?

This one has to know the officer in charge. She called HQ in front of me. Then only after 15 seconds or so, got the approval.

Also this one has been running for at least 2 weeks or so. Just heard it from my relative. She got 4.15% for a large sum FD.

Do anyone knows if BR currently has FD promo ?

Just saw this post. 30k, unlikely to get it.

Mine is my previous Nov 2022 4.2% FD matured, so no need to xfer. Renew FD. Actually asked the officer last week, she told me the rate.

But she has to ask again to get approval. Amt is low 6 figures.

Their 30k xfer limit is low compared to other banks.

No auto renewal with good fd rates, as far as I know.

MBSB system adjust FD due on weekends to next Monday (working day). Surprised with yours that mature on Saturday.

Ya, I was thinking of asking if u have placed an FD much earlier, but did not know it was 4 years ago. Anyway, no harm done!

My BR 5 yrs 4.8% with mthly interest coming to an end.

Looks like no FD promo for BR ? Then planning to move to AmBank for their FD/True Saver combo. Heard that it is ending by 30/11.

I did not have FD maturing that time. So now no more 5 yrs FD with attractive rates.

Well, just have to move on.........
