BR FD promo, any info on latest one ?

Have FD maturing on Tuesday in BR, Wed will be BNM announcement on OPR. Dilemma, haha. Substantial amount.

Pass 1 mth, putting mainly into HL TIAi 3 mths. May have to park some fund in AmBank AmStar for 1.25% while waiting for the OPR rate confirmation.

Bank always fast in raising loan rate but slower in revising FD rates, once OPR increases.

There are calls for BNM not to change OPR.

For those debt free, hoping for OPR to go UP !

after 5 or 6 July, do u all think we will start to see banks offering above 3% FD rates for 12 mths placement?

need to wait until the "fat lady" sing

all the speculations about opr by banks/rating agencies, always 50:50  , either OPR increase or stay 
what if OPR stays? bank dont need to do anything, most promo FD rates would continue to be sub-3.00% p.a.

also, if OPR increase, banks doesnt react that fast. may be next few days to see new revised promo rate --- but we already missed HLB's 7.7 rate

if you're referring to 7.7 1-day special promo rate 3.00%p.a. for 12mths....

you may want to read the t&c.

to be safe, better draw from banks with highest fpx limit first, in case your subsequent transfer not getting promo rate.

p/s: who knows, maybe hlb didnt enforce this either.

i only placed hlb efd-i, lumpsum from PBB since it can go higher than the usual rm30k/50k FPX limit (pbb FPX limit is RM100k).

earlier was thinking to go 50% placement now, then remaining 50% in the evening (hoping for revised rate! haha)

HLB 3% 7/7 promotion is no longer worth it, right?

Did anyone successfully place this using FPX? I have tried to make placement, the from bank can only select Maybank, can't select others bank. Anyone know how to do the FPX fresh fund FD? Thanks!

Erm...anyone manages to get the eFD promotion from Maybank? I don't even see the option to select FPX from other bank, only from Maybank account....the strange thing is, they ask you to make a placement but DO NOT SHOW THE INTEREST RATES for that period! WTF! Expect you to blindly transfer money and put in FD? Can complain to BNM?

This "DO NOT SHOW THE INTEREST RATES" that really stopped me from trying further click apply. I placed before long ago in MBB old platform but not like that if not mistaken.

Problem is. Most ppl would have already put their monies into FD a long time ago. Very few ppl who puts money into FD have much cash in savings anyway.
