this is v gud.

but knowing HLB... it has to be FRESH funds, right?

bit of a hassle with this... after 6 months, u gotta transfer somewhere else...

really, this silly "fresh funds" game some banks playing are so outdated.

only make people waste time, petrol, parking... puke.gif

eFD is ok. If OTC then i give up.

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jan 4 2023, 08:53 PM)
Can't find link to T&C either..
*

Bad news HLB has lowered its TIA rates. Example 6 mths lowered from 4.2% to 3.9%
*
QUOTE(kinwawa @ Feb 16 2023, 07:23 AM)
Yeah...new eFD promo also 3.9% for 6 months
*
Ai yah, I should choose TIA 6 mths yesterday instead of 3 mths in eFD. doh.gif

But this time TIA & eFD promo same rate for 6 months, used to be TIA higher a bit.

die die dont want to match with BI
even they give 4.25% also i will put for 6 months
we all know OPR is going up very soon
but does not mean FD rate will go up
*
Even 4.0% they also don't want to offer. x.99 normally used in sales, so that people 'feel' cheaper.

True on the FD promo rate, MBB promo rate also drop, even OPR still the same.

Hi anyone made placement with MBB e-Islamic FD-i promotional FD 5/7mths @ 3.65%/3.76% in the past 2 days?
Just checked in M2U and noticed the rate is only 2.8% (didn't proceed).
Is it due to the quotas having fully been subscribed?
*
I remember I did check last few days the option still available, but when I try today, no longer. Should be quota full already.

Looks like banks are expecting BNM to maintain OPR for next meeting. US & EU have been hiking while we are only back to pre-pandemic rates. BNM trying to juggle the economy & inflation. At the end they can only save one but not both.
*
Not about the next OPR yet. Current rate still remain the same after the last OPR increased. Oh no, is actually dropping.

I use window desktop too but Google chrome as my browser. Looks like I am not the only victim. Anyone successfully place with app?

Don't think so, as Eligible from the page:
- Apply via Maybank2u web
- Applicable tenures are 7 months only
- For the profit payment mode, you MUST select ‘Credit to account’
- For the principal amount, you MUST enter min. RM1,000 for transfers from other banks via FPX
- The FPX placement method is not applicable for joint eIFD-i accounts

"Transfer from a non-Maybank account (via FPX)"

Usually for fresh funds from another bank, can i just transfer out from MBB to Bank A and then in the same day transfer back to MBB? Would that be eligible?
*
Yes, no issue at all.

For the Maybank e-islamic FD promo:
https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...JQaAlKhEALw_wcB

I dont understand this one. Transfer from a non-Maybank account (via FPX). But it says to apply via M2U web.

So is it can use my own M2U account to transfer to the FD or not lol

Means you can apply this FD promo through M2U web. For FPX from non-Maybank account, just transfer out to any bank, then apply this FD select your fund through FPX.
