MBSB 5 yrs is 4.3%. The 4.35% with monthly interest is not that bad.

Interest rate wise, long term will go up. When, how much, cannot tell.  devil.gif

Have placed for 5 yrs, once only. In AmBank 5 yrs 4.55%, 2 yrs ago.

Those that have placed in MBSB 5 yrs FD few yrs back are the real winners !

How much was the rate for MBSB 5 years back ?

This seems to be the best so far. How is HSBC's service for premier bankers?

Yeah, it officially starts at 3/11, but it will be huge crowd that day, so unker go there, leave them a signed cheque, they will process it on 3/11.

Unker, I don't see the 4.88% anywhere in the T&C. One can only know tomorrow, correct?

You guys down in Klang Valley all excited about the HL DC branch 4.88% FD promo ! rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Again today renewed in AmBank for the 12 mth 4.2% FD. The counter did not even ask for any top up.  biggrin.gif Took 5 minutes and koatim, really happy with AmBank efficiency nowadays !  thumbup.gif

Miss the 2 yrs 4.6% FD.  cry.gif

I am contemplating going there from Melaka just to place the cash, but due to work constraints, might just dump the money into AmBank for the 4.2%. Sadly, the profit difference is more than RM 600 if placed for the HLB promo at DC. sad.gif

Just put into AmBank for the 4.2% for a year. Would probably go to HLB DC today if I have the time.

Kind of regret now continue AmBank FD to 4.2% yesterday. If I just terminate and hold on until tomorrow, after reading the above alert.  tongue.gif

4.38% 11 mth is really good deal !! I think will just place small amt tomorrow !  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

I actually feel like withdrawing my ambank fd placed recently and add on more for this HLB promo.

Ya, up to say 10 days FD (only calculated up to that time) placed earlier may still be worth it. Anyway I think I will just stay put.  devil.gif
*
Yeah too much hassle to go to AMB to cancel also. And my RM will start talking about other investments. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Am gonna stay put too.

U missed out on the monthly interest option ?  hmm.gif
If everyone like u, the quota would have been met quite soon !  devil.gif

There was no option to choose from. So based on an earlier post, looks like its gonna be credited monthly by default.

Actually there are. U can go in and check again by trying to place the eFD.

Need to have "Interest credit to Account" for monthly interest. Check you eFD if it has this.
*
I remember previously there was monthly interest credit option in the drop down menu but itโ€™s not there now. However I did choose interest credit to account, but thought the interest would be credited at the end of the 11th month.

Did u set "No Auto Renewal". Then u are OK. The "Interest credit to Account" was it shown on the right hand side when u view the HL Connect ? Then it is monthly interest.  biggrin.gif
*
Yup I did that. ๐Ÿ˜€

Usually it's almost always the bank wins. But yeah! I thought there were some very very fine TnC or hidden ties with things. It's a really good return if you sum up the interest earned and also the value of the items.
Tier 1 : Interest RM1,979 (RM250,000) + iPad @ RM1800+/-
Tier 2 : Interest RM4,750 (RM600,000) + iPhone 8 Plus 64GB (RM3800+/-) / Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (RM3500+/-)
Tier 3 : Interest RM11,876 (RM1.5m) + Tag Heuer Aquaracer (RM10k+/-)
Tier 4 : Interest RM23,752 (RM3m) + Rolex Explorer II (RM20k+/-)

Interesting incentives.

Called up my RM in Melaka. Apparently the promo ended last Friday. Anyone else can confirm whether this promo is ongoing anywhere else ?

Dump that money into Maybank and do the fpx of multiples of rm30k from Maybank. So far , no issues with multiple fpx transactions of 30 K in a day.
