One of my relative placed for 4.5% 12 mth FD in Bank Muamalat today. Even "booked" for another 4.5% FD tomorrow. 
When I first reported the Affin 24 mth 4.3% on 2/6, no one seems to be excited about it. Maybe because it was selected branch and need 50k or 80k. Then people are still excited with the Muamalat 4.5%, though need min 100k.

I also said on 2/6 that we can ask for 6 mth interest. Last week again, Affin branch told me the same 6 mth'ly interest. So did u ask for it or they said only on maturity ? 

Well, it is a large amt. Similar to the amt mentioned/shown by some big boss here. 

Tomorrow Affin 4.5% (last one) matured. Looks like HL 7 mth 4.3% is the one to go to. Going to move some of the dough to HL.

Hopefully 7 mth later even better promo comes up. This is one of the advantage of the 7 mth FD. 

Did not hear any special deal for HL PB. The 7 mth 4.3% has to be OTC. Also suppose to deposit 1k in CASA. 

Went to Affin Bank to withdraw matured 4.5% FD. Wasai, the officer seems super upset that I am not going for their FD promo ! Have withdrawed last week as well. 

Went to HL for the 7 mth 4.3%. Confirmed that can withdraw the 1k in SA anytime later. However as I used cheque for the FD/SA deposit, looks like can only take out the 1k after cheque clearance. So anyway can use cheque (I used personal cheque) and deduct 1k from there. FD start date today. 

Anyway surprised that HL gave monthly interest for this FD promo ! So far no one seems to have mentioned it or I missed it.  So happy that monthly interest is part of the package. However limit for this FD promo is 200k. Last day tomorrow !! 

I asked about it, the officer said monthly interest available to those >18 yrs old.  Also for both conventional and Islamic FD. 

For those that placed the HL 4.3% step up FD over the counter, were you able to view the FD when you login to Hong Leong Connect? I am only seeing the e-FDs. For Maybank, I am able to see both e-FD and FD that is placed over the counter when I login to M2U.

If anyone interested for 5 years : 4.25% min 100k for this week...

It's confirmed that Muamalat is no longer offering 4.3% for 12 months?
