How to place fd? through FPX like hong leong? or transfer from other bank to affin bank saving acc then place eFD?
*
since you have affin login, you can already try yourself to see how it works

draw from affin casa, not fpx:

if like that, only can do if have CASA, i only have CC acc with affin, mean cannot deposit efd.
*
QUOTE(ikanbilis @ Feb 16 2023, 04:18 PM)
Same like cimb, i only have cc with cimbclicks, but unable to place efd coz i dont have savings acc with them.
*
even with cc alone, i always open a new casa (preferably bsa w/o fee) when creating online banking with the bank.

this is to purposely bind the online banking profile to the casa, instead of the cc. lesser headache in the future.

if do the other way round (setup online banking tied to cc first), some banks may have issue with new casa to be linked to existing online banking (cc).

I was told that tia is Islamic fd, after read all those seems like more complicated
*
it's islamic investment.....not islamic fd (or term deposit) ya

however, so far with HLB TIA, the profit maintained. with CIMB TIA, it will give you unsatisfactory return.

Anyone tried cimb TIA before? My RM told me tia 4.3% guaranteed rate, will they honour the rate when matured? I saw many did not receive the agreed rate here
*
get your RM to put that into black & white guaranteeing the rate? thumbup.gif

others reported here based on actual events. not sure what was their variance between actual/effective vs placement rate.

imo, if the variance is small but yet effective rate is higher than most of available rates here, then still ok la. but problem is, you wont know until maturity. kinda gamble.

if your expectation is for a guaranteed return/rate, then avoid investment-type deposits entirely as it's already not guaranteed per PDS/T&Cs (forewarned to potential investors)
