Those smaller banks easier to negotiate the rate...
As long u got the $$$ & fulfill the requirements... More $$$ is better.... Don't go to HQ and ask... Go to branch which have lesser people...

And the one I replied is for promotion FD rate for Invikta customer.... U ask nicely & nego.. can get that too....even not  Invikta customer...
*
the AFFIN branch i am going to is quite prime, so I guess not possible. Can share what they were willing to offer (can PM me if do not want to share here tongue.gif ), if really worth it, will switch to smaller branch next round tongue.gif

OMG, those kids are at it again.

May I suggest those who wanna show-off their "knowledge", "riches" etc etc, go set up another thread and have your fun there.

Leave us out of this please.

Admin, no idea why you are so tolerant of these people. Time and again it has happened, high time to take action. doh.gif

Will end this month end.

6 months FD is not a very long holding period, and very good deal with monthly interest

This needs a good timing to get this 4.8% if:
(1) have enough fund RM 1 million
(2) if only have RM 500K, manage to find another FD depositor that can put in another RM 500K
(3) new to Citigold customer
*
2) Can separate names right? Wife/hubby/children. So per name is max 500K right?
3) yeah, new.

i am surprised you go for 2.25% when we have KDI upto 3.5% 1st 50k,
even  lowest i get beyond 200k is still 2.5%
dont like KDI still got Versa 3.2% or more soon

That MBSB 4.05% is for 18 months.. too long with now interest keep going up..
I placed the 12 month @ 3.9% but few weeks back
now  better keep in KDi wait..
2)what  do u mean,? why cant put separate name?
FD on single name  any time can.

Is not per name max RM500k, is per account.

for this if you want  joint name than u need 4 persons
it wont accept if you try open 2 accounts eg  1)A/B and 2)B/A

if  have 4 names then can  put RM2 million @4.8%
*
yeah, what I meant was

1) A
2) B
3) C
4) D

Just some silly question....

For those who have funds in FD, you guys doesnt have any flexi loan account? isn't it more worth it to park at flexi loan account since the interest rate is confirmed higher then FD.... of course unless u have 0 loan then......
*
Yes, paying off your loan is more sensible than chasing rates, but dont put everything u have in flexiloan, cos withdrawing will incur some charges

If full Flexi loan, no charges for withdrawal. All my housing loans are full Flexi and can withdraw anytime without restriction and charges

oh i see, that's great. Hope it is not depending on bank, cos last time I checked, dunno how much per cheque per withdrawal

I believe whatever the difference is, it's very minimal and not worth talking about, based on my past experience with various Term Deposit.

my experience with CIMB, the 'loss' came up to RM1k+

yes  RM1 M is monthly 4k,
with PBB they keep your money 6 months later only give u 24k

now  me in dilemma, ealier plan to get PBB RCB Reward RM800 for 1M

now BR can give same rate and monthly interest
may just forego that RM800 if PBB refuse to  pay  monthly interest.

PBB will require full 2 years maturity only will releasing the full interests, if we calculated by annual effective interest paid, theirs is 4.6%

PBB 24m @4.8% pays interest 6 monthly.

Ambank 18m @ 4.5% (monthly interest) is still available but would need HQ approval. Managed to place last week.
