If I am not mistaken, FD interest is not company taxable.

For the HLB eFD, since the interest is credited on monthly basis, anyone ever try to uplift the eFD right after the interest is credited before maturity? In this case, is there a penalty where HLB actually deduct the interest paid?
*
Yes they will deduct from the amount you initially put in. The system will auto calculate.

I also intend to open HLB eFD by FPX transfer from MBB. I turn away because I thought the FPX transfer from MBB has a daily limit.

So its confirmed that the FPX transfer from MBB has no limit ya ?
*
Yup that's true for now.

Question: Just say I wish to place 150k in FD with HL. This will require 5x FPX of 30k each. So do I open one FD for 150k or 5 FDs of 30k? In other words, will all the 5 FPX transfers end up in one FD cert/account or not?

Thanks.
*
5 different certificates.

It is so called PB.

PB refers to Priority/Premier/Privilege/Preferred Banking.
For different banks, the requirement is from 200k to 500k (UOB). CIMB is 250k

See below thread for more info:

If one invest RM 150K into unit trust, they are granted preferred banking status as well. My cousin is one.

I canceled it since it doesn't has cashback or much additional  benefits compared to visa signature.
*
Other than the fact the card looks good, there is lounge access at airports, but need to check the amount of accesses a year.

What's the difference monthly interest and not monthly interest? Just that they credit u monthly instead of the end of maturity date, right?
*
Many use the money earned monthly to diversify their investments. Rather than having to wait for 1 year to get the funds. Overall , if one invests using the monthly interest , percentage of earnings increases.
