Can I know if the situation like you still need to pay entire December bill for streamyx? Or will pay less because this month you already terminal streamyx

I am paying the RM1 for the old phone line.
I have two separate bills, one for Unifi and one for the old phone line.
And both bills are on different billing dates.

My god..i really envy your ping...
My best ping from blardy unifi is only 34ms and that's during midnight!

my lastest bill is 4 dec 2016 for streamyx, but my unifi is activated on 6 dec 2016.
on latest streamyx bill had charged till 3 Jan 2017.

so I need to wait till next bill on 4 Jan 2017 to see the pro-rated amount.

i think no matter which date u install unifi and terminate streamyx, u also will have pro-rated credit. i think no chance that u pay less. unless u install ur unifi one day before ur billing date of streamyx?

do note that if ur credit balance is less than rm10, TM will contra the amount. (what a nice trick to makan the credit balance from customer, imagine one customer rm10 they contra, how much they can contra for those customers who terminated their services)
if u want to ask back the amount that had been contra, u need to make a visit to TM point in person to ask back this amount. cannot be done via 100 or online chat etc as the amount had been contra.

when i first installed the 30Mbps unifi, i found that my internet speed is not that fantastic as compared to my uncle house which is using the VIP10 merely. when i use my uncle's VIP10, loading any page is immediately, it is almost zero waiting time before a page is loaded. super fast that kind. but on my 30Mbps, it is reasonably fast but it is not lighting fast like my uncle's one. but after doing some trial and error with my wifi router including totally disable IPv6 at my wifi router, the speed now is much better for normal webpage loading. somewhat for unifi, without IPv6 totally it loads thing faster, at least personally, i feel it.

By right, only left 3 days then I can enjoy my free upgrade 30 to 50 mbps?

but suddenly feel tamak ..worth upgrade now to enjoy 100 mbps?

free upgrade is going on batches, in Jan 2017 can check for upgrade eligibility, likely that only after April 2017 then can start seeing the upgrade unless TM is really so efficient this round for this upgrade.

are u using alone or it is used among family?

if alone, maybe not, i had shared my reasons in the earlier posts (u can check back the posts) from my own personal prospective since i am a single user for my unifi line. to me, the current 30Mbps is sufficient, next year 50Mbps upgrade will be even more sufficient. of course, everyone is different, and needs different things, so u need to see ur own needs to decide. in the end, rm50 extra is not really a lot and not a big deal given the price we had already paid for, the 2x download speed and 2.5x upload speed for the price of rm50 is really worthwhile, but in the end it depends if u utilize the extra speed given.

if family, are all ur family members heavily consuming the line? such as 24x7 downloading large files or at least majority of time? if yes, it is worth it since it is going to be shared by many people. everyone may be happier given the extra bandwidth that everyone can get despite that it is shared.

u need to decide very quickly i guess. like u said, only less than 3 days left.

thanks for your tips. I guess i just stick to my 30mbps for now. Im pretty sure TM gonna do a promo from time to time later. Maybe they will go for 500mbps for premium users and lower their 100mbps price later lol who knows. But personally I like to thank unifi because of them I already terminate my asterukk 6 months ago and live more happily with my android box now

yeah, indeed, personally i also think that it is good to stick to a lower plan, at least there is a chance to grab any 'better deal' via their marketing team via phone call time to time or even have the option to upgrade to any 'current promo'. Given TM's track records, they have been coming up new promo to 'sabo' the current users who are paying higher price. in fact the phone marketing call to offer a cheaper price than the current promo price to persuade current customers on lower plan to upgrade to higher plan is a good example to 'sabo' the current customers who are 'ALREADY' on the highest plan and paying the 'NORMAL' price. so to avoid such things from happening to me, i better keep the price i paid to TM low even that the rm50 upgrade double speed is really worth it.

In fact, after the next year free upgrade to 50Mbps, we will be in the middle tier plan instead of base plan already. TM is known to focus on the base plan promo more as it comprises of the major group of users. yeah, it is possible also for them to come out higher speed like 500Mbps since the competitors had it now and neighbour country like lion city has already on very high speed plan currently. but of course it is not apple to apple comparison, since bolehland most of us are on landed properties, i do acknowledge that the infra is indeed more expensive to be implemented on landed vs high rise, this is the reason why Time can offer such cheap price for their plans as high rise indeed costs lesser to implement gigabit Internet.

I think the current move for TM is good, next year all unifi users will be on minimum VIP10, which it is indeed a minimum speed that can satisfy most household needs currently. As it is known that, most bolehland ppl care is the price in the end but not speed, they would prefer to have a minimum acceptable speed but at lowest price possible for most.

yeah, i am thankful that I have my unifi at my own house now too. with the fast Internet speed, a lot of things can be done, and they can be done very efficiently and satisfyingly.

Hi everyone,Recently i upgraded from streamy to unifi advance 30mbps.Ihave some problem which is the internet disconnect when downloading from torrent or direct link.The globe light in modem goes red.After some minutes it turn green.Is this modem related problem or tm network problem?Any help appreciated.Im using stock tm tp-link ac1200 router.

Guys where can i get the white cable (fiber optic cable?) that connects from the outside to my modem?
