Thanks for the suggestion. I was planning to go to Kepong TM point initially. I thought the staff in Quill City would just take my info and after form submission she would tell me that some one from TM will call within 7 working days. Surprisingly she key in everything into the system and gave me order number together with appointment date & time for the technician to come for the installation. Scheduled on 31st December.

Yes, my relocation was scheduled and input by them too and I received SMS instantly. Plus, I chose my new fixed line no. from their system too.
Though at the end, I changed to next day relocation via 100. tongue.gif
But their service is very fast. biggrin.gif

I received missed calls from this no +60326015000 3 times but I did not managed to answer it. Just now I called back this no. The person answered said it is from TM. She said it should be marketing department tried to call me on promotion such as upgrade.

My two unifi lines one is activated on 27 nov 2016, the other one is on 6 dec 2016. Both rm179. I am surprised that tm so fast has something to offer me? tongue.gif

I received their call from the same number also.. but I told her that I need to discuss with my wife so she will call me back tomorrow.. guess will go with the 30MB which not entitle for 50MB upgrade unless I sign out for the RM169 package instead of the RM159 package both exclude GST. So compare to what I got now which is 10MB with RM10 to upgrade to 30MB guess should be good enough oledy.. What she told me is that, no contract, free channel as those 30MB package(think include 2 extra Mandarin package or something but I never turn the unit on for years). All equipment will come with additional 1 year warranty.

Just wondering is the previous VIP5 equipment able to support that 30MB speed? If not, then whats the point to upgrade? My equipment think has over 5 years or more?

Weak points are now all call to fix or mobile will be charge at RM0.20/min beside the extra RM10/month.

if u use alone.. 5 mb should be ok ok onli.. if more than one person..30 mb is more worth option.. as internet keep faster.. so does the internet content(become heavier data platform)..the amount of data we use to surf in a day is not same anymore(with HD option) compare to last 5 years... if u ask me... go upgrade...the hardware should be able to support 30mb..but i suggest u ask TM if u upgrade warranty follow or not..if follow then after upgrade just call 100 say ur line cannot get 30mbps..they will sent technician ti your house by that time ask for newer equipment...hehe

HyppTV has now come up with 'pay for only what you want'
Link https://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/Pages/about.aspx?id=56#personal

I guess it is now okay now to subscribe to the basic package + only the channels you want.
e.g. no need to subscribe to Jumbo Pack when all you want from it is, say, RTL CBS and al-Jazeera.

Jumbo pack = RM60
RTL CBS + al-Jazeera = RM9 + RM6 = RM15
*
Sigh, wasn't the case. The Unifi packages comes stuck with HyppTV (i.e. subscribers must subscribe to at least 1 pack, e.g. Jumbo / Aneka / Varnam).
The ala carte thingy is to add-on to the package. e.g. Aneka + RTL CBS, Varnam + al-Jazeera.

Cis, just thought I could reduce my bills, but TM people knows better!
Summore charge RM10 for downgrade (one-off) + contract period for HyppTV to restart again.

Though I tak faham, if memang obligatory to angkat 1 package, then why bother with restarting the contract?

Haha I used the live chat and the staff also stated that I've already missed the opportunity to get RM179 promo price, guess I've to pay a visit to TM point tomorrow.

One question do I have to sign 24 months contract if I upgrade to Advance 30? My current VIP10 is contract free.

tried to find 'things' to download to fully utilize the speed last night, 30Mbps can allow the download all the 'things' real fast.
cannot imagine if next year 50Mbps it will be even faster.
100Mbps is definitely good, just worry i cannot utilize fully which most of the time the usage is idle as download can be completed so fast. i may end up for the sake of fully utilizing the speed to keep on finding 'things' to download and my hardisk will be filled up real fast - first world problem.

now 10Mbps upload is also sufficient as I am not a content creator that always upload stuff. next year 20Mbps upload will be even more sufficient, 50Mbps i cannot benefit from it also. tongue.gif

most importantly, i am using it alone at my own house. thumbsup.gif so it is really over-killed for me.

in addition, my 30Mbps plan is activated on 6 dec 2016, the upgrade to 50Mbps will be guaranteed (B & W) so no point to do extra thing to mess this up too. tongue.gif

lastly, if i maintain the lowest price plan available, i can anticipate any good deal from TM marketing team anytime next time to upgrade further also (if any), even dun have, 50Mbps is certainly enough for the next few years for me one single user without the need to share to with anyone also. thumbup.gif

It feels more 'balanced' to pay TM the subscription below rm200 monthly also even though the extra rm50 is really not a big deal. rclxs0.gif

laugh.gif Like I said yesterday, I know they will call me next year. 50M will be enough for me, oh well if I can live with 30M for more than a year, I will have no issue for 50M too.

Not forgetting, I have tonnes of data quota which are overwhelmed for me and I can get 100M on my Celcom. laugh.gif
