QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Dec 18 2016, 01:14 AM) I believe it's the same offer. I have a feeling the price cut will happen. Those with 5mbps/10mbps currently will get price reduction. 30mbps will get new price somewhere around RM149. QUOTE(Boldnut @ Dec 18 2016, 03:36 PM) may be by end of 2017 or 2018 our RM149 package is 30mbps. I thought they said "Double the speed, half the price"?Sometimes I don't know what TM is thinking. Just give free upgrade to those RM149 to 20-25mbps., why bother so many complex pricing package, RM159,169, 179, 199 lol IMO Unifi should be something like this already RM149 = 25mbps RM199 = 50mbps RM249-279 = 100mbps |

QUOTE(cOMMANDER pRASNTH @ Dec 25 2016, 03:01 PM) According to TM, if you're under the same category before and after upgrade i.e. Unifi ADVANCE 30 to 50, the contract remains as-is and not renewed to 24mths. I can confirm this from the MyTM page of my service that currently shows the remaining contract period is indeed as claimed. However, changing from 50 to 100 is a different category Unifi ADVANCE to PRO, thus contract will be renewed. TBH, its kinda if silly since ur paying more but getting tied with a contract but I don't think anyone would pay to get 100 now since the 50 would be eligible for the free upgrade to 100 for next year. My VIP5 is just 8 months into the contract. |

QUOTE(cskean @ Dec 25 2016, 11:03 PM) I was on Streamyx when they called to offer me Advance30. Since Advance30 doesn't come with free calls, I said I don't want Unifi. If got free calls, then I take. They said only VIP packages only got free calls. They asked if I am interested?I said ok. Then they proceed with the application. QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 28 2016, 10:47 PM) anyone here who is on streamyx previously but upgraded to unifi and choose to terminate the streamyx after unifi is activated but retain the existing copper telephone line? are u guys paying rm1 now for the existing telephone line instead of the monthly rm26++ for the line? I am paying the RM1 for the old phone line.i am chatting with tm live chat to confirm that my copper telephone and my unifi are linked so that the coming month bill i won't see the rm26++ on my existing copper line, obviously he did not understand what i was inquiring about at all. I have two separate bills, one for Unifi and one for the old phone line. And both bills are on different billing dates. |

QUOTE(Hornet @ Dec 31 2016, 01:03 PM) For some reason I cannot use Powerplug for my HyppTV. So now I'm trying to use the spare wifi router I have from TM. Basically I connected the spare router to my LAN4 on the main router (which confirm Hypptv can work if connect directly). I tried to set up a second router for HyppTv but cannot work. Now in my Hypptv box, I see I have the IP address 10.59.30.xxx, which I guess is the Hypptv service one? Somehow Hypptv is not working, so I guess I set something wrong. No video is showing, just a blue satellite icon with a x. I can open the Hypptv app without error though Anyone knows if got any special setting I need to do in the router, or the Hypptv setting? Try to search online, but only found the guide to set VLAN for wireless. Can't find any example of someone using a wifi router as access point for hypptv Then I went back to TM router. Change the settings for HyppTv to include Guest 1 WiFi. That means HyppTv is on LAN 4 & Guest 1 WiFi. From the HyppTv box, remove the LAN cable and use WiFi to connect to Guest 1 SSID. It works on Wifi. |

From the chart, it looks like VIP20 subscribers are in a disadvantage. VIP20 pay RM249 upgraded to Advance50 pay RM249. While Advance50 pay RM249 will be upgraded to Unifi Pro 100 pay RM249. Streamyx subscribers benefit the most. Their upgrade will be to VIP10 (if their area has Unifi coverage). What is the difference between Voluntary upgrade with consent and Voluntary only? QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 6 2017, 12:37 AM) You pay RM179 for Advance30 which is not in the chart, therefore, no free upgrade for you. Maybe only those who are paying full price for their package will get the free upgrade? I don't know, maybe you have to check with TM on this. This is my analysis on the chart above. Might not be true. This post has been edited by cucubud: Jan 6 2017, 07:40 AM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Jan 6 2017, 08:44 AM) No. Rm179 or rm229 also confirmed got upgrade if one signs up in dec 2016 or now (promo till end of Feb). This is confirmed as it is black and white stated. There are many subscribers who have been given free upgrade earlier without increase in fee. These subscribers will be affected. Not sure about those who paid RM10 for the upgrade. Are they entitle to the free upgrade? TM will find means not to upgrade your package. |

QUOTE(calk @ Jan 6 2017, 08:27 AM) I had been using the same router for years since I signed up for VIP5 but now after upgraded to 30Mbps, I can only get 15-20mbps wifi connection even though the LAN line is able to achieve 30mbps.. Friend told me that TM told him this is the limitation of the router but not sure as he is stay in a condominium but I am staying in terrace house.. After your upgrade to Advance30, did TM renew your contract? Will find way to solve this problem.. if this is really the case then wont really benefit from the 30mbps upgrade even though just anohter RM10+ If YES, are the equipment also have their warranty extend for another year? If also YES, then might as well report and make a claim. |
