Malaysia ROM is abit different, it's in 1 file, while the other country like US, uses 4 separate file...

technically yes, if use stock rom, but then he just bought a brand new phone, plus he might not have the knowledge to do it incase anything goes wrong, i would not recommend him do that risking a 3-4K phone.

that weird hmm.gif
and yes, better not risk it
better go and visit service center to check whether can change to Malaysia ROM or not nod.gif

This is the clear advantage of Samsung Pay by increasing coverage and compatibility with both NFC and MST.
But, so how, merchant terminal/cash register may have compatibility issue; it may ask more input: PIN, signature, physical card numbers and etc.

yea
btw why require to turn on data when using Samsung pay, I don't get it rclxub.gif
what if I go to a mall that have low signal or running slow data hmm.gif

not sure if Singapore Samsung would be able to help.

A hardware shop but if uses physical card it ask for pin.

i would recommend you report to Samsung Pay and bank regarding this anomaly, so they can fix it.

they would need your transaction time, merchant location info etc..

Turn on data/WiFi is for Samsung Pay to receive notification (capture the transaction), if you're aiming to join any contest from Samsung Pay.
If you're not intended to receive notification nor joining the contest, this action is not required.

actually you don't need turn on data, but there is a limit on how many transaction it would approved.

if i am not mistaken 5 if not 10.

it's ok during low or no signal, but don't purposely turn off data smile.gif Samsung pay constantly sync and renew the token ( not very sure on the renew token part )

I have one transaction not captured by Samsung Pay app.
I think I did turn on the data but perhaps that area is out of coverage with speed lesser than E.

hmm.....i once at a situation no data, but the transaction captured and notified me after i go to location with data.

i think you should report to Samsung Pay with those receipt, base on my experience reporting to Samsung Pay, the respond i got is crap, but no harm just notify/let them know.

It's OK. I have already completed the powerbank contest.
It's not so critical for me.

to me, i am more concern about capturing the transaction to notify me such transaction has gone through.

But did you receive SMS for this transaction?

i once encounter,at Shell station, the next day after the transaction, 2AM got another prompt of same transaction amount. which give me a shock, i thought is a fraud, luckily is a glitch, no real transaction got through for the 2nd transaction, and i earn extra Samsung reward point for nothing. laugh.gif

Neither.
But the transaction has already appeared in my e-statement.
The transaction has gone through with a receipt printout.
The said merchant is McD Tesco E-gate Penang.
That area has bad data coverage for Celcom.

Because the cash register asked for a 16-digits CC number input.
You can provide the associating 16-digits virtual/digital CC numbers (provided you have it).

i never do provide them real number, i just tell them i don't know, it's only the last 4 digit number mention in the samsung pay, or if their machine can swipe, which i will let them scan 1 more time

by right they cannot swipe 1 more time in their machine to capture card information(especially Starbuck), for swiping "real card" if they have such facility, you can report them to the bank.

luckily enough, if use samsung pay at starbuck, they don't ask for my card information anymore, nor ask me to scan the Samsung Pay information.

but if real card, they will swipe your card 1 more time.

You should have provided the last 4 digits of the associating CC number then.
It's shown in Samsung Pay.

The cash register specially asking for 16 digits even though I tried to convince them to use the last 4-digit of the virtual CC number.
