just have a quick chat with the shop keepers next time you walk into gamers arena or other shops. an easy question would be "Boss Price Up Again ah". they will tell you yen going up can't do anything. sure maybe they are lying but why would they?

unless the shop is busy most of them are more than happy for quick chat.

Hi all, I just got "approval" from my wife that I am allowed to buy gundam during japan trip next year. rclxm9.gif

Just need to check with you guys, not sure whether you guys know this or not. I will just give it a shot.

1) The best place to purchase Gundam is in yodobashi, right?

2) Is the price of the model a lot cheaper than purchase in Malaysia? I plan to buy entire SEED MG model series in one shot.

3) Its been a long time since I had my own gundam since 5 years ago. Any recommended model to buy? Only interested in 1/100MG and 1/60 PG.

Thanks!

Generally the price is around 15-20% cheaper than Malaysia.

For me, I'll look for those p-bandai kits which is much cheaper compared to Malaysia price. For these kits you can try Mandrake.

It doesn't matter where you depart from. The issue lies when you touch down at Malaysian airport.

Second home is in Singapore, First home is in JB. So I most likely will bring the model one by one back to JB to prevent malaysia custom check.

I did a rough check. The amount of having Tax Relief for arrival is SGD600, which is around RM1.9k. I do not think I will spend so much for Gundam. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Somemore with 8% tax reduction, should be fine. right?

Honestly I have no idea for recent situation as I have never bought that many kits and transit in Singapore since AAX and ANA have direct flights.

I remember Visa CC have extra 5% discount (probably still on-going? also not all shop) but terms differ from shop to shop (some like 5000 yen and/or above, or 5500 yen )
Consumables such as magazine doesn't apply (i learned that the hard way) doh.gif

I last went on March 2017.
