still remember i got a Gundam sock from amiami for rm5 last time.

also there was a display i think someone shown before in Japan side by side comparison of all RX-78-2 MG model kits. I still think version 2 looks the best.

the jacket cost over 1k, T-shirt around rm200. Shirt from rm400-1.2k.

anyone has the old MG Nu Gundam?

the left shoulder keeps dropping down due to the weight of the shield.

the right shoulder joint seems tighter won't drop even when i pull it.

anyway to fix this issue? makes a big difference on the proportion when the shoulder drops.

why not PG? i think more worth it for the savings you get over there. price for PG here is very expensive.

or better yet why not Metal Built 1/100 or other rarer stuffs.

I got RX-79 for rm102. old kit but not bad.

display it like Isetan Lot 10 does. from ver.1 to ver. origin side by side, then small to big. don't leave out the gachapon & SDs.

suck at painting just buy canned paint at Ace Hardware rm16 per can enough for at least 1 1/100 robot.

unless you buy SD/RG/HG.

Shinanju only need 3 colors.

rest just weathering powder & panel line.

navigation abit annoying though.

small box MG by SAL will be cheaper than buying locally, unless it's really old kit like RX-79 or Zaku here can get for rm100++. medium/big box cannot fit SAL will be same or more expensive than here.

btw anyone seen old 1/35 MG Patlabor Reactive Armor (unit 2+3) at local shops? want to get the small figures that came with it.

nice stop motion from box to assembly, not sure how he can get the camera angle consistent with the object.

the difference is so small in actual that most buyers don't really notice or bother. only serious modelers would talk about it. so doesn't really matter for Bandai.

Time Machine is the only shop around KL that sells Mr.Color Bottle paint in many colors.

For Spray cans i use NOW paint from Ace Hardware which is rm15.90 per can, they have grey primer also rm15.90.

I find the rm8.90 cans in Mr.DIY usable but they are much thicker so have to keep more distance and not many colors.

For semi gloss you can use any cheap clear coat just spray 2 burst you get semi gloss finish.

Mr.Hobby spray cans are not just super expensive but very hard to use as their pressure is too high.

The Mr.Hobby Flat & Semi-Clear are so tricky to use you can only do 1 burst per session from far distance if not will have frosting like goo. the finishing also very rough like sand paper and any dust caught on very difficult to dust off.

The Hobby shop in Atria mall sells quite alot of paint.

if not have to order from online or find those hobby shop at very secluded 2nd/3rd floor shoplots.

gamer arena choices very limited for paint.

it's well known Malaysia imported products are never cheap.

Toysrus, Jusco, Parkson has been doing that since day 1. They all got their stocks from same supplier since day 1. if you went to those Tamiya shops before you would notice how much mark up their items are, simply because these business are monopolized by some high ranking politician family.

And of course you have to take into GST, Tax etc and a margin to cover the currency fluctuations etc.

I dare say most shops import direct either from Japan or Hong Kong, depending on the currency performance. GA usually import from Japan as you can hear they always complain about yen going up. Rarely they get from Lik Takk. Remember Gundam kits are always in print unless it's limited editions so no reason for them to get old stock via middleman like Lik Takk than direct from supplier.

They ship in big bulk by Sea, and some have ways to "Settle" import duties. they don't require big warehouse, big sales outlet in prime location and just need 2-3 staffs. So they can keep the price down.

i doubt they get from amiami/hlj as they have bulk price but still aint cheap. also such stores never "cheat" in their invoices so they will pay full duties. if you want cheap you have to go direct with supplier, and not just Japan as Japan has tight law over package invoice, so sometimes they go to Hong Kong who are more flexible, last time Singapore since it's closer and very easy for Singapore supplier to "Smuggle" toys into Malaysia but now 1=3 means it's not cheap anymore.

use a really sharp & thin kinfe and cut the parts from the cement area slowly and carefully. then you can pry open the parts if there is any opening area. you probably damage the peg & surface so sand & putty.

depends how you want to transport the kits.

if 1 piece then everything has to fix with metal pole and glue tight. even the joints have to glue once you decided on the posture.

if separate you just need metal poles, plug them in when display, best is if the base has groove in to fit the contact area like how they do it for statues.

unless you have LED, then you have to carry in 1 piece.

if it's normal standing, 2 metal poles on 1 foot & 1 on the other will ensure they won't move after setting up.

think about it. if you can fix the legs, you can just buy a different kit.
