anyone been to Isetan Lot 10?
there's 1 section of Gundam merchandise, from model kit to fashion clothings to pouches & bags. not cheap though. still remember i got a Gundam sock from amiami for rm5 last time. also there was a display i think someone shown before in Japan side by side comparison of all RX-78-2 MG model kits. I still think version 2 looks the best. the jacket cost over 1k, T-shirt around rm200. Shirt from rm400-1.2k. |

anyone has the old MG Nu Gundam?
the left shoulder keeps dropping down due to the weight of the shield. the right shoulder joint seems tighter won't drop even when i pull it. anyway to fix this issue? makes a big difference on the proportion when the shoulder drops. |

QUOTE(talzer @ Jul 29 2017, 12:30 AM) why not PG? i think more worth it for the savings you get over there. price for PG here is very expensive.or better yet why not Metal Built 1/100 or other rarer stuffs. MG price in Malaysia not that expensive. I got RX-79 for rm102. old kit but not bad. |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 5 2017, 11:28 AM) i decide to get one unit nia, preorder today, still prefer HG unicorn mode as it's plain and clean, no duo tone and looks really basic display it like Isetan Lot 10 does. from ver.1 to ver. origin side by side, then small to big. don't leave out the gachapon & SDs.next....Mega Size, i have a display rack now..... i wonder should i do Mega Size > PG > MG > RG > HG Unicorn Mode or should i display the series in MG (Unicorn, Banshee, Phenex, Sinanju, Stein, Full Armor Unicorn) The rack can display up to 6 MG on one whole stretch |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 5 2017, 11:45 AM) me straight builder only suck at painting just buy canned paint at Ace Hardware rm16 per can enough for at least 1 1/100 robot.i wish i am artsy enough to do paintjob but since primary i sux at painting :/ the rack is customed made on wall with sliding glass panel, did it during reno the rest will be kept in detolf so i wonder which display to keep as features, all grade Unicorn, or All MG from UC unless you buy SD/RG/HG. Shinanju only need 3 colors. Unicorn only need 3 colors. rest just weathering powder & panel line. then another can of top coat. |

QUOTE(mzack1104 @ Aug 9 2017, 05:00 PM) Yes, hard to find locally.. or easy to say none at all per current.. small box MG by SAL will be cheaper than buying locally, unless it's really old kit like RX-79 or Zaku here can get for rm100++. medium/big box cannot fit SAL will be same or more expensive than here.Kit itself cheaper but plus shipping |

QUOTE(Amy09 @ Aug 16 2017, 05:18 PM) does anyone here know where got sell spray paint (can) i find out very less shop or store have it....so far only time machine (which this weekend is their last weekend in time square) and gundam toy shop got others? Time Machine is the only shop around KL that sells Mr.Color Bottle paint in many colors.btw this sat i will go sg wang (5th floor & 2nd floor), lowyat (if got extra time) and time square (time machine) to hunt some gunpla and some paint, anyone wanna join me? For Spray cans i use NOW paint from Ace Hardware which is rm15.90 per can, they have grey primer also rm15.90. I find the rm8.90 cans in Mr.DIY usable but they are much thicker so have to keep more distance and not many colors. For semi gloss you can use any cheap clear coat just spray 2 burst you get semi gloss finish. Mr.Hobby spray cans are not just super expensive but very hard to use as their pressure is too high. The Mr.Hobby Flat & Semi-Clear are so tricky to use you can only do 1 burst per session from far distance if not will have frosting like goo. the finishing also very rough like sand paper and any dust caught on very difficult to dust off. The Hobby shop in Atria mall sells quite alot of paint. if not have to order from online or find those hobby shop at very secluded 2nd/3rd floor shoplots. |

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Aug 21 2017, 08:56 PM) What? If that is their business model it is simply not sustainable, rather than making a distribution deal with Litt Tak they rather wait for 2-3 warehouse sales per year? it's well known Malaysia imported products are never cheap.Even in Japan the small retailers sell way below RRP. In Malaysia, the anchor giants do not sell according to RRP, they sell way over RRP, so one cannot take that the prices are what they were intended to be sold at. But rest assured, I'll get the answer for everyone during the next trip to the shops Toysrus, Jusco, Parkson has been doing that since day 1. They all got their stocks from same supplier since day 1. if you went to those Tamiya shops before you would notice how much mark up their items are, simply because these business are monopolized by some high ranking politician family. And of course you have to take into GST, Tax etc and a margin to cover the currency fluctuations etc. I dare say most shops import direct either from Japan or Hong Kong, depending on the currency performance. GA usually import from Japan as you can hear they always complain about yen going up. Rarely they get from Lik Takk. Remember Gundam kits are always in print unless it's limited editions so no reason for them to get old stock via middleman like Lik Takk than direct from supplier. They ship in big bulk by Sea, and some have ways to "Settle" import duties. they don't require big warehouse, big sales outlet in prime location and just need 2-3 staffs. So they can keep the price down. |

QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Aug 21 2017, 09:05 PM) Hence they r mixing their stock, whichever source when they make their bulk purchases is cheaper they will get it. During normal months they will get it from Amiami or hobbylink (they do bulk orders as well if u chk their websites) or someplace else. During warehouse sales get from warehouse sales. i doubt they get from amiami/hlj as they have bulk price but still aint cheap. also such stores never "cheat" in their invoices so they will pay full duties. if you want cheap you have to go direct with supplier, and not just Japan as Japan has tight law over package invoice, so sometimes they go to Hong Kong who are more flexible, last time Singapore since it's closer and very easy for Singapore supplier to "Smuggle" toys into Malaysia but now 1=3 means it's not cheap anymore. |

QUOTE(chinti @ Aug 21 2017, 12:37 AM) Guys, need help. I accidentally put Mr cement deluxe on the wrong parts, how can I remove it so the parts can be taken apart again? use a really sharp & thin kinfe and cut the parts from the cement area slowly and carefully. then you can pry open the parts if there is any opening area. you probably damage the peg & surface so sand & putty. |

QUOTE(chinti @ Aug 22 2017, 09:39 AM) hey guys, will super glue leave marks on gundam? whats the best way to glue a gundam onto a diorama base for a permanent pose? white glue? super glue? drill hole and insert wire/tube beneath the legs? depends how you want to transport the kits.if 1 piece then everything has to fix with metal pole and glue tight. even the joints have to glue once you decided on the posture. if separate you just need metal poles, plug them in when display, best is if the base has groove in to fit the contact area like how they do it for statues. unless you have LED, then you have to carry in 1 piece. if it's normal standing, 2 metal poles on 1 foot & 1 on the other will ensure they won't move after setting up. |
