QUOTE(CR35G @ Mar 13 2008, 09:57 PM) like william said, leave it there. i have try google for it, but in vain.QUOTE(itsjustme @ Mar 19 2008, 05:00 PM) Hello hello Dear Vaio club members, if you really need the blu-ray player , it's worth. otherwise take the FZ with dvd-rw dual layer player first of all I would like to take this opportunity to say hello and proud to join this club....... even before own a vaio. I never used a sony vaio before, all the while I'm using an another made notebooks wish not to mention the brand, as every corner of low yat I have noticed that the banglas is selling the particular brand and it made me feel......... I guess you guys know what I'm trying to express..... Well under this state of affair I'm moving in to sony vaio...... I believe I have made the right choice.... the question here is I walked into one of the shop in town to do some survey on the vaio as usual the sales person approached and pretended to help me and asked what I need and I told him what I wanted and oppose some question about vaio. The sales person introduced me the VAIO VGN FZ28G he told me that it's on sale right now as a newer model will be out soon to replace this model ( HE IS SO HONEST ) so we are clearing the stock if you don't mine this is a very good unit and a very good buy and he offered me this unit for RM 6499.00 is this a good buy and worth buying or should I wait for the newer model and pay extra 35%. Please help in this scenario as your opinion is so much appreciated. Thank you so much itsjustme dont worry about the build quality, it's satisfied. besides, vaio give less problem. just dont forget to upgrade the ram to 1gb or 2gb (better) or 4gb (if you want lol) for smooth performance. |

QUOTE(nic_chm @ Mar 28 2008, 10:51 AM) Wow, cause it's the picture that looks the same as mine, so i thought it was =/ hehe, cant be AR. it's small there compare to yours. Why wanna downgrade to XP @_@ it's people choice. some prefer vista, some still with xp. depending on their purpose of use too. for example, running C++/C compiler such as Codeblock in vista is difficult and need alot of "tricks" rather than XP with one click installation. im providing the link just in case people want to downgrade for the current vaio (TZ, FZ, CR, SZ7 series). later they dont $#%@!#&$ sony for not providing the downgrade driver haha! QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Mar 28 2008, 12:00 PM) For you guys information, the latest SZ 79 & 75 and TZ series comes with one Window XP professional SP2 CD installation for them to downgrade to XP. thats just nice This is because there are still alot business software which is still using XP version and its not compatible with window Vista, so in this case, most of the businessman will prefer to downgrade it instead of stick with window vista. You see, one more selling point for VAIO. haha ! who say VAIO not good ? All the drivers can refer to http://www.sony-asia.com . Lookfor your model and download the driver if you happen to downgrade it to XP. im still remember ages ago where i have to dig somewhere for their drivers. haha nice improvement. QUOTE(MalevolentJustin @ Mar 28 2008, 09:49 PM) hi there.. your vaio can have max of 2gb ram. no more than that..although intel 945PM mobo can support up to 4gb, but due to factory setting, it has the capability to have max of 2gb.posting this regarding some issues about RAM on my VGN-FE45G... i have downgraded my vista home premium to xp pro... i made a dual-boot system by using a porgram named EasyBCD. usually when i boot up the laptop, it will enter a selection screen to choose either xp or vista to boot. it's running fine for coming a month or so. wanted to upgrade the ram of the system.so decided to try my friend's ram if it is able to support more than 2gb. sony told me this laptop max 2gb. i slotted in 1 2gig ram and 1gig ram, making a total of 3gb. went into the BIOS, saw tat it was running fine as it is able to recognise the ram. tried booting up my system...but the selection screen wasnt showing up anymore, but instead, after a long wait, it boots to vista..and when i check the ram in the vista system, it showed 3gb of ram.. so now i'm wondering, how come i cant access the boot selection screen? need some one to shed some light about this. thanks in advance. you now trying to force your vaio with 3gb which is unhealthy. better avoid the usage of more than 2gb. might harm the bios.. just my advice This post has been edited by Miyabi: Mar 28 2008, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(MalevolentJustin @ Mar 29 2008, 12:29 AM) anyway that i can actually change the factory setting as u said? since it has 2 slot ram, each slot with 1gb ram and make it total of 2gb ram.cos i really need the additional 2gb of ram due to my school course you cant change the max ram support anyway for that fe45g. you can still let the 3gb ram in your vaio, just expect other problem arise later.. it's up to you. but i advice just follow the laptop req. |

QUOTE(aH wAi @ Apr 12 2008, 04:26 PM) hey guys, am still under considering to gettting a vaio cr35g or some other model from dell i never encounter any system/hardware failure on my vaio. i can say that their quality is satisfied.i really wanted to get a laptop that dun depend too much on luck bout it's quality, as i am a dell's services provider, i sometimes do actually feel quite sad with it's product quality, and that's why i am considering about Sony's laptop as i need a better quality laptop to do my daily works, and some fun with the laptop without any hassle... i need some feedback from the users over here about it's quality, services, the pro and cons about it... anyone? about the customer service...havent going there to fix the vaio.. since i dont have any problem with it lol.. maybe others can explain about this. QUOTE(Dante18 @ Apr 13 2008, 01:43 AM) What is the reason graphics cards on laptop cant be upgraded?(Sorry ar if being noobie, very new laptop user, all the time have been using desktop) yep, its fix on the motherboard. vaio doesnt use the socket graphic slot motherboard.Izzit because the laptop graphics card is stucked t the laptop mobo? QUOTE(Liquid_Snake02 @ Apr 13 2008, 02:42 AM) welcome Added on April 13, 2008, 8:43 am QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Apr 12 2008, 11:56 PM) During Pc fair, 1 Gb ram around RM50.. 2Gb around RM110. not to forget that you can upgrade the hard disk It is possible if you have the window vista business .. But the question is, why you wan to do so ? nothing much difference since CR35 is not meant for business used, doesnt comes with all those security things like TPM security chips and so on. For every laptop itself, there is nothing much you can actually upgrade it. Just the RAM itself and whether you wan to upgrade or downgrade ur OS. tHats all =) This post has been edited by Miyabi: Apr 13 2008, 08:43 AM |

QUOTE(mikomiko87 @ Apr 15 2008, 05:07 PM) Thank for all the info sharing... ^^ maybe you need to add more ram.Really feel great of having VAIO notebook... haha.. Another issue here i need to brought up here is that i found out that a few times my window vista premium it alway not responding when i try to open some folder... especially when jz on my pc.. so is my pc abnormal?? or you can check and disable unwanted startup program , accessing via search bar at windows menu by typing " msconfig". you can disable unwanted program like sonicstage if you dont use it; or replacing the given antivirus softaware (norton) with decent one. i dont really like norton due to memory resource it takes. |
