went for checking today , they say rotor is okey one, its normal for the sound    , and hv to bear w it  , other bike also sometime scream the same song ..
otherwise hv to opted for brake pad change

90k over rolling terrain or 90k flat?

thought the hulu langat loop was longer than 90K... this is the one that passes a hill first into the semenyih dam right? near the broga area... quite a tough ride this is...

on days that i have nothing to do... i like to take my ride to batu caves -> ulu yam -> batang kali -> gohtong jaya -> genting sempah -> gombak and back home...

just over 100K from home and over 4000 feet of elevation... if i were any better a climber, i'd try genting highlands before i go down from gohtong jaya... but furthest i reached on my good day was the temple before i gave up.. the gradients are a bit too tough for me beyond those points and i have to worry about getting home...

nowadays i just find excuse to not go far... hardly even go genting sempah anymore 

century is not hard if you have companions... i've done the longest at 190K which i spend like 2 hours slogging the last 30K of flat road going home... totally depleted of everything on that day...

i try to stay off rides that has the sun directly on top of my head...  those rides are torchering like hell.... not to mention the after effects of sun burn...

i attempted that one.. my mistake was to ride there from home... did for what i didn't know was half the loop and reversed back... this is one of those rides that suck everything out of you... literally crawling home under the hot sun at 3pm that day

never gonna try it again...

The question is also whether after spending so much and encroached into a medium range or expert range bikes, I would not have the skills to control the bike and end up falling and breaking the bikes into bits..

Assuming my budget is 4.5k only, which bike would you recommend?

I only managed to do a 22.4km/h avg speed on my first ride.. seems like only slightly faster than my mtb.. doing a 800m x 13. Many corner and cars.. Geram..

Hmm sigh.. big head means expensive helm, no choice I guess...

I dont really like Trek actually, after going to GH Speedbikes in Kota Damansara. Their service is much better.

But it has got good reviews online though the Trek 1.2.

Pricey? What is a fair price then for a 9 speed? Maybe i should consider specialized since their services are very good. But for 3k + budget i think my option is allez (the cheapest model). Is that better than trek 1.2?

On the other hand, what the advantage of 10 speed to 9 speed? I cant really cycle at 2x10.. gear ratio too high for me to handle

never ridden a track or fixie as well... somehow doesn't feel natural without brakes...

I'm a mountainbiker, still consider a cyclist aite? Rarely ride a Track bike so not really sure how it feels though

i was reading secteur vs allez the whole morning..... seems to suggest that allez is a honda city while secteur is toyota vios.

to be more factual, allez is more suitable if you are gonna ride it for 1 hour and below but if gonna ride it for more than 1 hour the comfy offered by secteur will serve u better.

kindredd so u bought a computer to monitor ur km damn tat is needed for sastisfation as well huh...! haha ....u ride alone? i find it quite dangerous..cant see the cars frm behind....lets go night riding in a group ....location anywhr in klang valley...

Just a meter will do that too right? I bought one together, less than RM100, din opt for the wireless one which is below RM200. U don't really need an advance monitor unless you are going serious cycling

GUYS WE NEED TO RIDE ! LETS RIDE TONIGHT AT PUTRAJAYA PLZ!

So I went to cycle last nite and went over the metal thingy covering the longkang which has gaps each measuring like 30mm.. If u noe wat I mean.. My bike is 25 mm.. My bike I guess went into the gap and hit the cement edge of the other side of the longkang.. Wat followed is gass hissing from front tyre and it became a flat...  After inspection, I found the tyre to be in good condition ie no holes.... Wats the problem with my tyre? Can it be rescued? Or I need to buy another one?
