Hey all, wanna ask is Boardman Road Comp available in M'sia? agak agak how much is the price?
Looking at the KHS Flite 500, why is it that KHS's website and several sites in M'sia selling the same bike both state different components?
*

Are you cycling for fun, stamina or for long term. Careful because don't end up like me.

I brought a Trek bike. Cheap and thought only for riding fun, but later obsess with it.. Keeps upgrading.

Indeed! I was using these Cannondale until now.Very enjoyable ride.No lose of balance.Perfect and good ride experience and so on!

But as for the price to get the Cannondale with Lefty, it would cost you from 7k till RM 40k(Factory Racing)

RM 7k=F3 ,RM 8.5k=F2 RM 9k=F1

Got this email from Giant Malaysia. Asking for TCR SL 2012 but they give info on 2011 TCR SL instead. Malaysia TCR SL 2011 is exactly same as Taiwan TCR CL 2011. Price before discount.

http://www.giant-bicycles.com/zh-tw/bikes/...l.2/7767/45077/

- TCR SL 1: RM7,000 - Shimano Ultegra 7.6KG
- TCR SL 2: RM6,000 - SRAM Rival 7.8KG
- TCR SL 3: RM5,300 - Shimano 105 7.8KG

Can anyone advise me? I brought my bike 5 months ago. Comes with Bontrager LT3. Recently feel my back tyre a bit "slippery". Does this means it's worn out? I pumped full air and still have that "slippery" feeling.

Hi sifus,

Newbie here....am wondering if any of you have any opinions on this bike....

http://www.mudah.my/Rockbike+Racing+Flash+700c-12653963.htm

http://www.huanschen.com.my/details.asp?pr...yword=&page=1#1

So far its the only sub 1k road bike I see on the market.

Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks
*
my suggestion is, save extra money, get Polygon.I suggest you opt to get a sub 2k coz it's way better and trusted. smile.gif

hmm.All I can think of Polygon since it has some good groupsets to accomodate your taste. If not you should save at least RM 5k to get Giant, Cannondale or Scott.

Hey guys hope your can give me a honest answer. I want to get a road bike mostly for health reason to keep fit so my question is:
1. My budget is not more then rm 1k. Should I just forget about this hobby with that budget? Bcs I see ppl buying minimum 6k - price about the same to my Myvvi. Will a 1k bike be not enjoyable to ride???
2.mostly my gf will be joining me. Wta how do I join those cycling groups with boy & girls riders I usually see they wear uniform also. Bcs we would prefer to ride in a group.

***will be riding at Sunway or PJ area
*
to be honest, Rm 1k for a roadbike is similar to buying a mountain bike - heavy. Most people spent RM 4k and above just to get a weight below 9kg.and to get a groupset of Shimano Tiagra-Ultegra/Sram Apex-Sram Rival. And most importantly is this, if you don't plan for upgrading your bike, getting an expensive bike is the only way to enjoy cycling. If you're getting your gf to cycling too, why not cycling with other people too and increase the community of socializing while biking. My 2 cents advice.

My Giant OCR3 was RM1800 and it is a thoroughly enjoyable bike. I rode 5000km on it last year and raced it too against people with RM10000+ bikes. I think there is nothing wrong with most entry-level Shimano Sora equipped bikes.

Also don't forget helmet, bib/jersey, shoes, clipless pedal etc...

If you know any clubs nearby, you MUST join one. Group rides are much more fun than riding alone.
*
yup, I even started by buying cheap bikes. But since he's not looking for upgrading, it is suggested to get a 4k start. At least he has the motivation to cycle. And cycling in groups is the best way to compete healthy and compare performance amongst others.

I don't understand most shops doesn't really bother about my question regarding size, it seems that size doesn't really matter. I am curios too when I see on the chart I am suppose to ride at least 54CM frame but most shops try to say it's limited in Malaysia and you can't really get them easily.

They try to convince me that u should always get a smaller size and just adjust the saddle to a higher height.

I know myself being a person who doesn't really like frequent upgrade, I might set my mind on 105 component thinking of that, I still don't really like the idea of spending a fortune without knowing what I want although bonus just came out, not really good tho, not enuff for helios 500..

btw what is the differences between a good gear and a lower end one?

Also like to know which is better? dropbar/flatbar?

Really sorry for my question bombardment
*
that means they only know to sell!avoid these kinds of shops.you'll regret once buying

Added on January 1, 2012, 4:20 pmFinally, I've decided myself not to get another bike.Since Ultegra Di2 is coming.I'm saving for the Ultegra Di2 or maybe skip with the Dura Ace mechanical and get a Zip 404 Firecrest. Those wheels looks superhot.

And there's this event you guys have to join. 1000km in 10 days. from south to north

Trans1Malaysia
