Z5 only comes with 1x 2.5" sata slot since the beginning. Back then only S5 and D5 have 2x 2.5" sata slots.

I must have been confused with the 2 models u mentioned. It was 2 years since I got this Z5 and storage space is running out. Since only 1 x m.2 slot available, I think I will go for Samsung 970 Evo M.2 NVMe SSD for that and migrate the system to the SSD. Thanks and cheers. thumbsup.gif

The NVMe SSD can only be detected in the latest Z5 with i7-7700HQ processor, hope clarify.

The 6700HQ Z5 can upgrade to M.2 Sata SSD, not the PCIe version.

Hi Prince J,
My Z5 cannot on if not plugged.
If plugged then can on.
The battery showing 90% in windows.

Noticed the touchpad light is always on now even though before that I switched it off.
Last time it can remember the light is off if I off it before shutdown.

Anything I can do to fix this ?

Thanks.

Yes, when is the earliest appointment available for this Sunday ?

I want to do those too (I bought on 8 August 2015 with 3 years carry-in limited warranty) :

1. Dust cleaning - within warranty how much ?
2. IC Diamond first time reapplication - within warranty how much / free for first time ?

How long will it take? Do I need to leave my laptop there ?

Thanks.

Hi corona, I'm afraid that the Skylake version only supports SATA interface for the M.2 SSD slot, hope this clarifies.

Hi lonelymac, can I have your warranty to check? The replacement part also comes with 6 month warranty and we will try to cover for you.
