Not launch yet. Est price from various sources points to RM85k to RM96k. Btw, I'm helping to set up the official forum side so future information will be pool here instead of vanishing in Kopitiam.

Just by looking it over the net, this car internal space is fairly small.

Indeed. I won't know whether the power or the feel will to your liking.

I'm certainly am getting it even without the test drive. I'm guessing power wise and feel-wise will be something like a grand livina or a Rush.

I do hope so but so far from other sources people online here, the marketing people at the road show and the sales assistant at Honda, seem strongly the price is going to be in this region.

Hmm, let's see how next year.

I think for that price, I would explore other options. Not to discourage anyone as I'm also eagerly waiting for the launch date.

Would you know the estimate timeframe of launch?

Did some research on others in the same category and "more or less" price range, so far I think this is the best that fits my criteria. Won't mind sharing your other options here so we can exchange notes.

I don't know the exact launch date but the marketing ppl and sales assistant only indicated in January 2017. They didn't mentioned whether early, middle or late. I do hope I get the car in time b4 CNY.

Good if brv launched in Jan. I'd like to see the safety spec that Honda provides. Usually, it's all good.

I'm looking at mpv or suv. Some criterias are comfort, safety, reliability (ease of maintenance) and pricing. They may vary on the scale say, if price is low then probably the vehicle has less safety features. I can still wait though.

I've been checking out new launches such as sienta, ertiga and now, Brv. Also looked at existing models.

So far I'm quite satisfied with Honda's past safety features and rating and happy to hear VSC is standard for the high spec model. Would be nice if they throw in extra airbags like the curtain type.

I'm also in the market for a MPV that has better usable space for the category it's in. Previously was eyeing a HR-V due to it's unique crossover feature that is in the trend these days. Preferences for the car changes when I had babies therefore a MPV is needed. I liked the Serena due to ample space and it's features but kinda turn off by the price. I heard of BR-V a couple of years back, so I decided to be patient and waited for it.

Found out the following according to one Honda SA. Take it as hearsay until we get official news from Honda.
- launching Jan. If book now, can get car before cny.
- $500 booking fee
- 85-95k estimate price
- two specs only. Highest spec got reverse camera with the touch screen infotainment thingy. Can't recall what else ...
- two air bags only for both specs
- got vsa for both specs

I would agree with ^ware^wolf while deciding the car above.

BR-V definitely wins pants down due to what it offers in it's price range.

The Ertiga goes head to head with the Alza in terms of prices and specs. On the side note not relating to this forum, Alza offers more of infotainment and leathers while Ertiga offers better space and features for cars in this timeline.

Hopefully and in the meantime, I'm pestering the SA to do so wink.gif

I doubt Honda will suddenly surprised us with additional airbags fittings if they have already going to decided by this "rumoured" price.

BR-V is a bit slimmer and less cushy in the inside compare HR-V. If you get to see both side by side, you'll be able to tell the difference more. I had the same feeling about the size of HR-V to CR-V until I saw them side by side at the showroom.

From articles I read, it's a collaboration between Honda Thailand and Honda Indonesia for developing market therefore Honda India opt to have it brought in. I've scour online and I found Philippines is going to bring in this model to their market as well.

it is derived from brio right? actually derived from mobilio (pretty nice estate, got lots at indonesia), a brio sister of sort.
brio is model for 'emerging' market (3rd world la), so i think at most can fit 2 airbags only. got vsa as standard, so i think can syukur a lot.

Indeed. Very hard to satisfy all potential customer preferences therefore specs are as best as possible. I have my pet peeve of certain features of BR-V but so far pro still out weight the cons.

Sienta seat much lower right?
The main reason this car look interesting to me is its higher view of drive.

I tested Hrv love its higher view but the typre road noise is seriously unbearable for the money paid.

Since Klang Valley tends to have the occasional flash flood, the higher ground clearance does appeal to me at this period of time.

Not sure whether it's their sound insulation or their very hard/stock tyres that contributes to the road noise. I did a test drive as well and found the same result as you mentioned.

According to ASEAN NCAP, the BR-V got 5 star if model got ESC. But, BR-V only got dual airbag. Still safe or not?

Safety is subjective. Shud be ok based on what are the common accidents that Asean NCAP finds or researched.

If you get run over by a speeding trailer lorry or hit by a fallen crane/signboard or wrap the car around the tree, I doubt any car even the safest one will be safe.

i tried the second and third row seats, if you are below 170, it will still confortable. the leg length just perfect and got spaces to maneuver. If you are bigger guy and tall guy. BRV will not suitable for yall

From technical POV, the Stream is overall better than the BR-V in most aspects(size, mechanical, comfort) except for the age of the car, infotaiment features bundled in that year and road clearance.

I still pick BR-V due to it meeting my needs such as being new and cheaper to maintain with the additional crossover features.

I would say it will be more or less like the City/Jazz as the abovementioned. I will say City/Jazz with still feel a bit more premium than the BR-V in terms of interior finishes should both are compared in their highest spec.

Been going over last couple of day with the SA payment arrangement as well as trying to get the estimate price of the BR-V. It seems HM might increase their price due to the weak ringgit and that is why most SAs are still unsure of the confirmed price. Dang for me if it's true.

The problem now is we're still not sure which end of speculated price range HM is going to price. If it's too close to HR-V base model, you know one end is going to lose out.

Went to Alam Damai Honda Sales Gallery. Was informed that booking fees required RM500 and then surprisingly that they told me price is between 80 to 93k . But i guess that's not OTR price. Total added up will be in the region of 83k and 96k

Maybe so due to the CVT but engine-wise, the L15Z1 still produces more HP & torque than the 2NR-FE. I dun think the 4AT helps either as the 5AT would definitely be an advantage in better utilizing the engine power bands.

Great... hopefully really get the shark fin for sure.

If final OTR w/o insurance is RM94k, I guess it will be final at RM96K everything in.

OTR with Insurance is 94kk. 94k is the amount they send to bank loan. So it's safe to say 94k is final price for V spec

Yup, it's true... HR-V seats are half leather/fabric and that's the high spec.

Hopefully, my branch will give me some extra freebies too. Boot tray, full tank and tint will be great. Dun need the smart tag though...

I drove new Civic when i was in thailand. It was very good experience coz first time drive a Honda. And the keyless sensor thingy in Civic and will be available to BRV V spec. The SA double confirmed. About the color it's between Crystal black pearl or Metelic gray.

You can tell your SA that other SA give others the items that i mentioned above see if that help.

Yup, I will definitely tell her of that.

Btw, BR-V feels more about Jazz/City and HR-V feel due to it's rear torsion beam suspension unlike the Civic multilink suspension setup. Definitely will be good and nice to have the keyless fob.

I'll go with the V as the additional features outnumbers the leather seats. You can however place a fabric seat cover or those foil looking seat covers when parked under the sun.

Just an example:

The reason leather seats are a plus for me as I have twin toddlers who had and future will continue to barf as they grow up.

No brochure yet but I'm guessing the week after the 5th Jan there will be some at your local Honda showrooms. In the meantime, in terms of specs, you can check out on the first page of this forum (I am updating it as more info comes) where a bit of the specs as well as links to the preview/review site for more info.

on the booking and loan application part is correct that you need to pass him necessary documents for him to process the loan. what i skeptical was the color you stated for your new BR-V. So far the official colors are list in the front page and i got triple confirmed from my SA and MIECC SA that there is no ruby red in the first batch.

yeah, i also like the ruby red. But look back at Honda's way of working, I think they will introduce ruby red in second batch later next year like what they did to Jazz and City.

Same here on the colour info. My SA didn't mention anything abt ruby red but shown me a copy of the Honda Thai's brochure and said golden orange(name not confirmed yet) will be the special colour to be introduce here. But anything can happen from now till the launch date.

Oh... those are totally different sizes though we can still use HR-V's rims only.

HR-V --> 215/60R16 or 215/55R17
City/Jazz --> 185/55/R16

Here's another image from p@ultan website as well. Do note the white & black BR-Vs here maybe different specs. The non-silver rear bash guard bumper and the non-chrome handles on the black BR-V may be the lower spec. The white BR-V's door handles are covered so I can't tell from there. But all of the white ones seem to have the silver bash guard.

Nice and noted. Did your SA mentioned of black since it's a confirmed colour based on the trailer spy shots?

Hey there Bravian,
I'm really into this car and I have question. Is not about the car. Could anyone tell me pros & cons of Individual vs Company registration?

Sorry if I post this on wrong thread.

I'm not sure myself but found this over google... you can post it on the main "F&F" thread to get more help there...

Yeah... just another two more day... rclxms.gif

So far from spy shots, white and black are very much on the list. The other colours I've listed can still change.

Nice. Thanks for the info. Most I have managed to more or less guessed it.

Btw, I am puzzled about gear knob with audio switch. Isn't that on the steering?

With the recent sighting on the road and spy shots as well as the info provided by you here, I am starting to suspect that crystal black pearl (CBP) is being drop for golden brown which is a very dark colour and noticeable under sunlight. And since there is ruby red, I am starting to doubt the availability of golden yellow.

Haha... me too just done the interview today! I didn't surprised that the car didn't come with the shark fin antenna I guess HM want to keep the price competitive. Anyway we can get this from 3rd party accessories shop, or we can have a group purchase to get a better deal.

If HR-V let you down, I don't think this car will raise any expectation since it's a range under the HR-V.

I was told Bank Islam and Bank Rakyat has better loan rates. RHB not too bad. Maybank, CIMB and PBB not so good as they are quite stable banks.

My SA suggest me loan for full spec price around 95k in total.

I probably go for v spec as i roughly do calculation if install evrythg except push start button at 3rd party also cost me around 3-4k so i rather add into loan den take full spec

Ic ok. Noted. Thought you are going for the lower spec with that figure. I think it's a saving if you go for V instead of trying to outfit the lower spec with few omissions.

Low spec = 85,800

High Spec = 92,800.

Edit: I think the pricing is without insurance though. Not sure. This one was the announcement at the launch.

I'm planning to go test drive tmr 1st thing in the morning to get a feel of it.

I've test drove the grand livina recently. Not too bad in all areas just that I found the 1.6L power and few of the features not to my satisfaction.

Have alr tested the car .
Here are some of my feedbacks.
1.The car was quite in the room, even when u push hard the paddle (the engine jerk but not loud as city as i also test drove city)

2.I managed to went up 120km/h it still keep stable and not too wooble,i guess the suspension is set to be more harder so can keep the stabilization of the car.

3.The power is decent but so so(even with S mode on),but for a compact MPV, not too bad,u no need to press the paddle too hard as it wont go too fast as well, however it is good for smooth drive (i mean lighter foot)

4.The driver seat not supportive enough, u will feel a lil bit insecure as it will not full support ur back when u doin cornering.

5.cornering is better den livina /almera, the direction of steering is accurate, can do a big corner around 70km/h and the car still keep firm.

Anyway i thk i on liao biggrin.gif
Here are my SA freebies:
Full Tinted
Full tank
3rd party Cargo tray
Carpet
Soveniers like umbrella notebook etc
Most importantly Rm300 rebate!

I went to showroom this morning and no test drive available.

The only problem is the second row aircond, The SA told me is not aircond and is a fan blower bring the cool air from the front.

I was at the showroom this morning as well. Most news online mentioned the 2nd row blower doesn't come with cooling element but this morning, I inspected the blower intake and saw cooling elements. Sorry I didn't take photos for that.

I have read somewhere, the cooling pipe is actually connected through B pillar to engine bay.

So i suppose there is also cool air came out frm rear aircon ,just the blower will need to suck the air frm the front aircon.

Do not put too high expectations on the interior materials ,
They are all combinations of cheap plastics,
Though for this kind of price i thk still acceptable.
I thk livina 1 way better, city also better, but not avanza lol

I hope I can see the real one next weekend. Based one the pictures on net, I personally do feel the seat quality is ok ok. Look very thin.

Any comment on the door? Solid when closing?

Civic's door is very solid. HRV too but this don't give it good sound insulation.

the high spec one the leather seats feel nice. Overall the high spec with leather seats can make the interior feel a lot better than the low spec fabric seat. I prefer the BR-V than HR-V.

the high spec one the leather seats feel nice. Overall the high spec with leather seats can make the interior feel a lot better than the low spec fabric seat. I prefer the BR-V than HR-V.

If you are talking about ISOFIX for baby car seat and is available on 2nd Row.

3rd Row can fit and adult provided the 2nd row seat slide to the front.

I hope I can see the real one next weekend. Based one the pictures on net, I personally do feel the seat quality is ok ok. Look very thin.

Any comment on the door? Solid when closing?

Civic's door is very solid. HRV too but this don't give it good sound insulation.
*
Not so solid , as it still using the very old ancient type rubber door trim
But better den proton or even myvi ...

Yesterday place booking for BRV after test drive.

FYI, the showroom i place booking and test drive is different place coz sales girl very lansi, say got 50 over booking a day and don't expect that i can get any promo.

Just to share my experience after a short test drive at Wangsa Maju Honda (1 small round, 2 traffic light, 3 bump, 0-60km/h only due to short distance)

1. Engine noise can be clearly hear in cabin when press pedal a little bit harder, speed below 60km/h
2. Power 0-60km/h - In my opinion, the car is under power (slower than Almera-i didnt own an Almera but i drove my friend Almera once)
3. BRV door is very light compared to Vios, make me feel that BRV is not so solid compared to Vios.
4. Space (Main reason i bought)
a. I have no complain to get such a big car at RM84k, compared to my sedan which i'll feel stress if i sit behind.
b. 3 row is basically useless for my height (176cm), but it is a good back plan if i need to fetch a few adult in front and some kids at the back.
5. Comfort wise, okay laa...personal opinion again....still comfort than Almera.

*Please note that i don't hate Almera, it is a very spacious car that take u to point A - B without complain just like BRV.

My package as below for 1.5E
1. RM300 rebate,
2. free sun shade (not sure if i will get original or 3 party)
3. 3rd party car tray
4. Full tank
5. Umbrella
Tinting i prefer to do it outside instead of giving me a cheap one.

They are all combinations of cheap plastics,

I thk livina 1 way better, city also better, but not avanza lol

lavina is sure a better one, in term of the folding 3rd row seat design. its 100% flat on livina. very disappointed w/ brv's (cacat).

folding 3rd row seat is upmost important in a half-dna-ed 7-seater mpv/suv doh.gif

My thought of how Honda utilize the space is one of their best selling point among market. However, when I see the 3rd row seat and the trunk space after the 3rd row folded, quite disappointed with it..

Anyhow, BRV still look good.. Gonna plan to visit showroom to view the actual unit..

I agreed on GL foldable seat is a strong point as i am disappointed with BRV kinda folding configuration. I don't feel this kind of folding is user friendly (where is HONDA famous Ultra Seat like JAZZ type?). And GL come with the 1.6 and 1.8 engine which is somehow higher that BRV.

But i have to comment that GL still using the 4AT and without ESC is strong NO NO this day. Most buyers are very careful nowadays when come to safety (ABS, BA, EBD, ESC and min 2 air bags are the basic things to have). I just hope GL can have upgraded the gearbox to CVT or 6AT, ESC then major FL upgrade (DRL, Halogen light etc) to make it better looking. I am sure it's gonna stir this segment further.

I test drove the GL a while back some time last year. Not too bad a car just that I find some things are dated or not to my liking. Like you mentioned b4, the transmission is still a 4AT and I've owned the previous gen City that comes with a 5AT, so no less for tranny for me. Other things that are not to my liking were only fabric seats option(no leather option), dual tones interior(I prefer all dark interior), lack of touch screen infotainment with reverse camera and not so good use of interior space(being spacious) just to name a few.

in short, can't compare a late 90's car model/tech/design/taste etc to a current late 20's model.

confused.gif I just don't understand, how can Honda fail in a simple 3-row seat folding design. the designers knew very well, this brv target market is towards DUAL console.gif trunk space cum 7-seater conveniences... yet they failed doh.gif

Depends on the individual. For me, I need certain creature comforts on top of what is offered out there.

Well, they did cut corners for cost by taking Mobilio as the donour car.

So far a lot of positive feedbacks from those who had test drove, I guess should be quite okay..

It seems that golden brown colour is the most favourite colour. I have to wait till Feb to get that colour. My SA advised me to change to steel metal but I rather to wait a few more weeks.

Mine I just have to delayed it to another week due to the insurance thingy. Want to coincide with the current policy expiry date.

In the meantime, something for keithwwk...

Great... how much did it cost? Does it replaces or just cover the existing antenna base?

If there is any wiring involved, it does. But then again, depends on luck and the persistence of the brand SC.

That's why i opted to do it at honda workshop use their ori part see it can be change without voiding the warranty. My SA still yet to get back to me on that part. haaaisshh

My SA said their branch dun honour those who do tinting outside coz door panels needed to be open.

As for me, I am only doing mods that won't effect or touch much of the warranty like drop in air filter and headlamp bulbs. Not sure abt strut tower bar though... that might wait a little later.

Initial I thought of led like the Philips ultinon but those things cost a fortune plus I dun think it fits the socket of our headlamps. I thought of settling with the other range instead, Philips Xtreme Vision +130%.

Until I get the car, I won't know the headlamp socket type. So far I scoured the internet and no results.

From the look of the google map, it looks like a showroom only. I guess allocation to your branch is lower from the other more famous centres. Have you gotten your purchase agreement?

You want me to introduce you the SA i bought from? got small cash rebate icon_rolleyes.gif later lunch time i'm going to pay for the 5k deposit + sign loan.

I heard that 1st batch BRV will be deliver to showroom by 17/18th January then 1/2days to settle registration and etc then take car.
But if booking from this week onward fastest date to get car will be in between February-March dy (unless you dont choose color the SA can help u reserve whatever available).

Btw, if you dun mind the distance... try calling up Tenaga Setia branch as well. They have high allocation rate and if you're lucky, you might get it b4 CNY.

My branch is HZN in Glenmarie. They have moderate allocation therefore I dun recommend there unless again, lucky. Anyway, I'll try asking just to try luck... Modern Steel Metallic you're looking for?

Now i don't think can get it before CNY dy. During the day i place booking. It is just so coincident that they have 1 Brown (E spec) and 2 dark grey (V spec) available. so since i'm ok with both color & any spec is fine for me, so i get to cut queue before someone else book it.

Yup please do update. Considering to buy this car too. Still comparing this with sienta or livina (reason: price range and 7 seaters).

The uneven boot's floor let me down big time tho the 3rd row's leg room is better compared to others.

For me the power was decent with 3 adults on it. Overtaking is acceptable. Suit for family driving.

I guess need to wait for overall daily use experience for my final decision.

Like to share my opinion on this BR-V.....

I owned a Avanza 1.3 since it was first introduced in Malaysia back in 2007(I think.) until today. This car have serve me and my family well being a family mover. There is space whenever I need to carry people and stuff like luggage or DIY stuff etc. There were many negative comments on it then, eg; power, bounciness, platform of a van etc. I accepted it as it was since it was the best option then because of its price on the road, built to ferry 7 people and a second blower that can cool the interior on a hot day quickly.

Fast forward to today, with the introduction of BR-V, I think this car is built to carry 7 people and can provide the space whenever required, just like the Avanza but I'm confident that it handles much better than Avanza and would be less bouncy. I did not had a chance to take it for a spin and I'm pretty sure it will be a big improvement comparing to my ol' faithful Avanza.

In the second row seat, these seat can be slide forward and backwards to provide space for the third row and second row, so here is a value add. The rest is more or less comparable to my Avanza but in BR-V, there is dual airbag (my Avanza do not have even one), VSC and ABS, (again, none of these are available on my Avanza). So, if those who have owned a Avanza or is still having one, like me, I think they would probably agree with my opinion. However, this saying...."a man's meat maybe another's poison" and vice versa.

Anyway, I have confirm on this car, down payment and loan all done and await delivery in a week time.

About the 2nd row air con blower... here's a photo of it's cooling element....

user posted image

I finally managed to get my test drive today. The car feels like a slightly bulkier version of a city. There is sufficient power in the acceleration from stationary or slow rolling start. Straight line acceleration is decent and feels more or less similar to my old city(3g/5g) those the cvt and slightly heavier body still makes the City marginally faster. Didn't have any windy roads for me to test hard cornering so no comment on that. Sound insulation I feel its better than my old city but cannot compete to the previous gen accord(my only closest benchmark).

But we just booked it anyway and end up the SA gave us
Tint
Cargo tray
Full tank
Umbrella
The Honda kit(planner, passport holder, and Id holder)
Rm300 rebate
SA says he can manage so just give.

Test drive overall was quite good, tested lots of uphill, windy uphill roads and it was within our expectation. Compared to other cars within this price range, it suits our needs.tested with 3 adults and 2 kids in the car.

SA mentioned definitely after cny to get car.and 7 yrs loan will try get a 2.7%

Initially, it was thought to not have the cooling elements in the 2nd row blower. But during the launch, Mr. Arisaka said otherwise.

So happening here.. Wow..

I checked this car today.. Firstly the E spec in show room...the overall quality is beyong what pictures on the web can tell...ceiling height is good only the width is lesser.. I think this car best for 6 adults comfortably. Tried the last seats. Not bad man.
Then I checked the V full spec which is for test drive. The leather seat seriously up the standard of this car. Interior turned more atas feel. Tested it by round agaist the building (not registered yet can go main road) first impression was smooth and Steady. To me, much quieter and nicer drive than Jazz. The suspension feel good.

Door is solid enaugh but definitely not civic, hrv or altis type of std la.. Much bettered than my two protons for sure. Lol

I can understand what some of you guys mean now regarding the foldability design fall short. 3rd seat folded with vertically straight up there is kind of weird when the middle seat is folded too.

Regarding the ceiling vents fan speed: 1st is quiet, 2nd is ok, 3 is very obviuos. I am very sensitive to this haha

I must drive it on the main road again to test its cabin noise.. Want to feel when it hit 100km/h..

One more thing, just realised Msia BRV middle seat don't come with arm rest..

I'm going to be washing or waxing my car for the next few years until I get bored in later period. Since we have lots of dust and rain, I go with the Meguair NXT wax which is a wax sealant(durable) rather than those carnauba deep gloss & shiny type of wax.

Different type or brand of wax has their resistance to rain. Some last longer than others. Polish is to remove a very thin layer of overcoat on the paint so that it looks new again. Those special coating supposed to over better and longer protection than the wax but you have to use their own car shampoo or a neutral ph shampoo. On top of that, you need to send back for maintenance every 6months or a year depending on brand.

Honda India has an original seat side console available for purchase as part of the accesories pack.
It's basically an arm rest with storage.
Some places online quote the price at INR399 which is really cheap.
Anyone wanna import and do business? Haha. Should be good sales for BRV owner.

I have drive this ride for a day and here's my comment:

Acceleration from 0-100km/h - Quite responsive, no CVT lag and over take car within 100km/h is manageable at ease biggrin.gif (only 4 person in the car)
NVH - is far better than I thought, I didn't compare to any car. Just my personal opinion.
Suspension - The suspension setting is very comfort and absorb road bump very well.
Audio - okay only as I didn't have much time to play this device.
Air-condition - The front aircond was cool enough and the behind too.
Fuel -Consumption - unknown yet as my Honda SA give me a full tank, according to him full tank is around RM 85 for RON 95.
CVT Transmission - High Rev around 4000 rpm can hear the noise inside the cabin, I would suggest to accelerate slower keep within 3000 rpm and the drive will be more pleasant.

Accessories that I have bought:
Shark Fin Antenna - got some gaps and will source for a better one to replace but FM signal remain strong
Key Cover - Good Quality and the damage is RM 30 each user posted image

Will update more when I really have more time to drive with this machine rclxm9.gif

Tested drive last week. It definitely within my expectation and huge upgrade from my current ride, persona. Only downside is the width which i also aware of.

I asked the honda service engineer regarding of changing the antenna from stock to shark fin. He said it won't void Honda warranty if we change at the Honda SC with original Honda shark fin but there's no guarantee of FM radio will be fully functional after change of antenna as they never did that before. Perhaps Some of you here or from car club sifu did that before might chip in some information of changing antenna.

My SA said he can get me RayTech Tint under RM500 from him. Dunno if it's true. hmm.gif

And those who has installed the Arm rest please give comment and let me know if it is truly fit into the BRV. I also interested in getting one.

Better check with your dealer before tint at outside.

My SA told me have to use their appointed tinted shop and this is to ensure the 5 years warranty for the power window mechanism.

Just wondering a few question below.
1. Based on my understanding, the warranty only cover for car who purchase tinting by Honda. If SA will bring their customer to do tint outside, meaning there is already no more warranty?

2. I believe all car door panel did covered with a plastic and some black glue to protect all the electronics. If the tinting can damage the electronic part does it mean Honda didn't cover the door panel properly and even rain water might leave those electronic expose to water?

Just wondering a few question below.
1. Based on my understanding, the warranty only cover for car who purchase tinting by Honda. If SA will bring their customer to do tint outside, meaning there is already no more warranty?

2. I believe all car door panel did covered with a plastic and some black glue to protect all the electronics. If the tinting can damage the electronic part does it mean Honda didn't cover the door panel properly and even rain water might leave those electronic expose to water?
*
1. I got my tint from Honda dealer as I m not too sure whether the warranty void as we are buying from different dealer.

2. Haha... this is the grey area, is really diffcult to argue! I don't know how Honda will process the claim if any as I been informed about this from my SA.

Just to sharing my experience as I didn't own a Honda before this and I find it very leceh.

Congrazt bro,

Ur SA really did a great job for delivering ur car damn fast to your hand.
Mind to share more in regards to fuel consumption, power with full load?

Btw i was informed by my SA my car can be registered by next week.
Looking forward into it !

As for question one... the warranty only cover if you do the tinting with them(the Honda branch) or one of their panel tint shops (if you want to do it outside). I believe different branch carries a certain brand... like the one from Glenmarie is Ecotint and another forumer here shared that his was Llumar.

Hey Guy,
What I see now is lot new car owner go to tint the car directly from the dealer shop. If I not wrong tinting need to open door panel right? I am thinking some of the owner complain of win noise or rattling sound from doors (regardless of car brands)...don't you think that could due to tinting process?

Hi all,

Can the boot accommodate 28' inch size luggage without folded the 3rd row seat? This is the major concern on me. No use buying an MPV(Crossover in terms of BRV) but you still have to fold down the 3rd row seat to put in all your luggage.

I don't have the 28 inch size luggage but based on my visual measurement it should be able to fit without folding the 3rd row seat.

Meguairs you can buy it from Ace Hardware. You can try Turtle Wax Ice series too(not the normal Turtle Wax). Yup, waxing is indeed a hard work. For me, I take it as an exercise. Anyway, it's either you wax once fortnight or a month depending weather. CNY is going to be a hot and dry weather so properly not so often.

Plus I gave my SA a bit more time to get the tint and accessories done ready nicely.

for mySikap, u need to go any jpj counter> register ur ic, thumb-printing then jpj issue u your ID/password for first time log-in to mySikap web. go back home, login and search for current running no u want to buy. pay0nline & no plate is yours.

be mindful, plate no u purchased must be registered under your name only. cannot transfer to other car owner.

for insurance, just do transfer from old car to new, current ncd will follow. (this your brv SA will do the transfer for you)

old insurance co will rebate premium paid, pro-rated minus fee on your balance months separately (this u need to follow-up w/ your old insurance co).

That's the thing LOL. Is it better to do it myself or let runner/agent handled it? I think only use back same insurance will be entitled for the NCD transfer right?

Nope. If you transfer to other insurance company, you can transfer your NCD over.

If you want to earn the 10% discount with the insurance company and save some money instead of engaging a runner, you can do it yourself. I usually do it myself unless I am really really busy (which most of the time not for insurance renewal).

LOL, i dun think i can do it myself, i will just let runner/SA handle it. Just want to know whether it will be hassle or time consuming in doing so without delaying getting my car. tongue.gif

Usually, insurance thing can kaotim in few hours as long as you have all the documents. Then you forward the cover note to your SA to register the car. The next day the car can leave the showroom.

My case, why it takes so long coz my old insurance expires this weekend. few days not worth it to recalculate to pro-rate.

not ncb rebate. your ncb already transfer to new MSIG.

the rebate is your pro-rate on balance months of premium paid to AIG ie old insurance u paid from Oct 2016 to Sep 2017, now u cancel & transfer to new Honda on Jan17. so your rebate from AIG is for Feb-Sep17 premium minus fee
