LYN n00b question : what is MaxMTU and RWIN? And how to check if it affects latency?

BTW guys, have any of you noticed the Low Latency that we're getting in a lot of the instances, areas, etc.? http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...&sid=1&pageNo=1 . Looks like Blizz is not even sure what is going on and all that they had to say is "If this is happening to you during patch 2.1.1, what's oging to happen post-patch-2.1.2?" Fulamak. Latency is good compard to previous weeks, it's now 400-500 ms.

latency still bad for me, 218 IP is contansly red doh.gif
if let say one day my latency suddenly green, my jump shot sure out timing one.

just for info, dont know if it works for other but it did for my friend...

my friend using Streamyx 1M and play with him lag like hell, always getting red latency bar more then 1000ms... so he call up TMNut and ask to check. They ask him to clear the cookies and temp files and now is latency not going more then 1000ms, mostly around 400ms - 500ms... so give it a try and see...

if he's needing to clear cookies and temp files, sounds like his harddisk getting full as well. tongue.gif

and WoW shouldn't be using the same TEMP folder as windows, no?

From Negeri Sembilan -

60.48 is stable at around 500-600.
218.111 is almost the same, abit higher tho
60.49 ; 60.50 ; tak boleh pakai, totally useless.

1st post is updated.

Still missing are info from : Kelantan, Pahang. There may have been players posting about those locations but as they didn't mention which town/suburb they live in, I didn't update the main page.

Can players from Kelantan and Pahang please provide feedback? Thanks.

For the past 1 month ++ I've been playing WoW on US:Gorgonnash, this is what I've been getting:

60.51.x.x 60.52.x.x 60.53.x.x generally good, below 800 ms, as low as 240 ms on 60.51.x.x lastnight! I generally reboot router modem a million times to get on these IP ranges :/

218.111.x.x - 1k++ to 2k++
218.x.x - sucks as above
60.50.x.x and 60.49.x.x - 900ms to nearly 2k ms

Sigh.

raydenex, u're probably in one of the areas where 60.52 doesn't lag at all. that one is damn slow for most areas.

any fellow wow-ers staying at farlim know any good ips? i might need some help here tongue.gif

My office is at Farlim , right near the Pizzahut and across from the Annaku . Stable 400-500ms using 60.53. The 60.49. 60.50 , 211.111 and the 124 one stinks .... 1000+++++++++++

I guess I spoke too soon anyway, got on 60.52.x.x earlier this afternoon and it was constant 1100ms to 1500ms.

Double Sigh.

I think what package you're on has nothing to do with TM's own physical links to overseas. Doesn't mean you subscribe 4mbps package TM put you on some privileged dedicated pipeline to US. Or permanently assign you an IP range that has consistent 50ms latency to any online game. Just won't happen. Not this lifetime.

At CSC where I work, we're on VPN to CSC's network in Aust. Generally my connection to anything in the States is good. Too bad can't WoW here wink.gif Our IPs are 20.195.x.x and others in 20.x range.
