Do not worry lah. Gerbils are hardy rodents. They rarely fall sick. The only sickness that you will see gerbils get is bloody nose but you will notice it when the nose has got red stains.

For now, your gerbils are just new to you lah. They do act different from hamsters coz hamsters are nocturnal and they are diurnal. Also gerbils are social colony animals so they will constantly act active and wrestle and tumble hahahah...

Hahaha.. But i did know that the Sp DEH gave akachester a NICE gift when he held him in hand. lolz...

Aikss... I did saw some red stains on my gerbils' nose lar. I suspect they get bloody nose & i keep checking on them. Btw, i'm using Chipsi Super mix with corn corb. Is it the wood shaving causes it?

Maybe it's ur bedding that causes it. If possible, change to Delikate.

I got the big pack one lar. Also need to finish it except i use for Ren lor. But Ren one also havent finish, still have half pack. How ar?

Yes, the bloody nose is normally caused by the bedding. If it is just a tiny bit, it's ok... quite normal when change to new bedding... but if the nose becomes stained often, gerbil keeps rubbing its nose and sneezing, means allergic already so have to change to other brands.

Well, for me, Chipsi Classic gives a few gerbils bloody nose so now I have changed to Delikate, ok lah... cannot say the bloody nose has gone 100% completely... at least I rarely see bloody noses now....

Ok. I will keep an eye on them often. Currently i only see little stain & they aren't rubbing their nose. May be because just change to new bedding. But i did sneezed when i put the bedding into tank. I guess the dust is quite alot.

Amazing.. mine I take out and put on tank.. got pee also.. but only about 2 small drops.. unlike hammi.. walaoweh.. the pee a lot wan..

yeap.. really having fun fun.. haha.. entertaining to watch.. The DTW should be fine la.. when I hand feed, it'll come out and run.. then take food.. then go sleep again.. very lazy pig dunno why.. =)

Hmmm.. I haven't get to experiment with diff beddings yet.. not sure mine sensitive to what. Currently on 100% corn corbs.. ex leh... lol.. next week gonna use delikate.

Hmm... You better use delikate as i see few of us that using Chipsi Super/Classic got that bloody nose problem. I might change to delikate once this packet finish.

Yup. Only corn corb for bedding is very expensive. But from what i see mix both wood shaving & corn corb can let them dig nicely.

I haven come out with their names yet. I think I'll name the PEW/DTW Snowie, the pied Agouti i'm still thinking...

That dat I went to PS to get Delikate since mine is running out, but thr's no stock. Foo even brought me to a few petshops to try my luck but all don't have Delikate, only small packet. Cham lor...

Yeah same plan here.. mix corn corb and delikate should do the trick.. =) Maybe the current batch of chipsi isn't very good... wait a while then try again lor...

PEW stands for what ah? Haha.. mine also not sure whether the tail will become dark or not. Hopefully it will. If not arr.. will just look like a white lab. rat...

Pet family on Saturday still got quite a lot of delikate wor.. but only the small pack ones I think.

Hahahaha... Nowadays PS keeps on out of stock. Even the Prestige hamster food also out of stock. End up Foo spared me one pack first.
