Oh I got 1 question. Gerbils heat tolerance should be higher than hamster right? I plan to leave my gerbils outdoor when I get them from nezu. Don't worry it's not that HOT. It's fully shaded. Nearby the car posh. Should be fine right?

haha.. well to what I understand, gerbils are desert animals mar.. hmm.. unwelcomed guests as in thief or animals? If animals don't worry la.. I have my ways to make sure cats won't come.. if thief ar.. erm.. do you think someone is willing to jump in the house and take a whole tank of gerbils away? I think they'd rather steal my shoes outside. LOL.. kena many times alrd..

oh... icic. Usually what are the indications of 'overheat' for hamsters and gerbils. I tried leaving my hamster outside and I monitor it every hour. I check on its nose but everything seems fine. Not wet at all. Is it a clear indication that the temperature is fine for my hamster?

Keith just passed away he was still slightly warm when I saw he was no longer breathing. Sigh... he's still young. No sickness, no wounds nothing. Somehow I feel he died of old age because he has been sleeping more and looking a bit tired lately. It was still a great shock tho, since hes not even 2 years old.

Anyway at the very least he had a good life, as alpha male of his colony, and fathered 10 gerbils.  he died very peacefully like sleeping. I'm just sorry that I didnt spend as much time with him as when I first got him, but he was very happy ruling his male colony of 5 gerbils.

RIP Keith...

Heres the last pics I took of him while he was still warm in my hands. I cant belive he's gone, he looks like taking one of his naps. Sigh... he was my 1st gerbil along with Pecan(died a few months ago). I'll bury him together with her tomorrow.

Wah foo... very difficult to take gerbil's pic without flash using cam ler... hahahahahaha... take using hp lagi no hope...

today when i reached room i was little bit shocked..
at the beginning, i want to checked the color of my gerbil's eyes, but i didn't do that when i noticed another three red pups was born..
better i don't disturb her for several days..
i think she was pregnant before i got her a few weeks ago..

my question, should i take out another one of my female gerbil from that tank?
or just let her stay in that tank as it..

how many gerbils u hv in the tank? n the sex? how old? if u got 2 females, n adult, better becareful.

make sure the milk u feed hor, he digest after few hours. if not it will hv problem too, cos i hv some pup canot digest also.
