The Petronas between Puchong and kinrara?

Will go and reload one shot RM200 this weekend  tongue.gif

Sure. They will charge you additional RM2 service charge but it's definitely worthwhile.

They take 1% service charge? Or rm2 flat for any amount?

hi all,

just curious.

Is the cash back eligible for all 99Speedmart branches? Or it is dependent on the card terminal the branch has?
Anyway to identify their category / eligibility for the CB before swiping or testing by trial and error?
*
which card u referring?

if mbb ikhwan mastercard, yes 99speedmart is using GROCERY MCC on its terminal.
if mbb ikhwan visa petronas, NO cashback at 99speedmart.

list of merchants vs MCC at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3711577

1% surcharge but rounded-up to multiple of RM1.

means, better to perform multiple of RM100 transactions, not odd numbers eg RM150/120/170 because surcharge will be rounded-up to RM2.

see below example of my tng reloads at that station.

thanks for the list. was referring to the Mastercard. Wasn't sure whether the entire 99speedmart chain was eligible as the list only put one particular branch.

By the way, i was always required to pay the rm1 in cash and the staff would staple the note onto the their receipt copy. wasn't aware it could be billed to maybank.

99 Speedmart is groceries but you need to spend at least RM 30 or RM 50 (depends on outlet) to use credit cards.

I've paid rm25 before. But need to wait for next month's statement to know whether I received cashback.

Just received Mastercard Ikhwan Gold as my first card. I heard that I should set my SMS Alert threshold value at RM 1. But I too receive info from others that for Maybank cards, in default, SMS alerts will be sent out for every transaction, except to 018 nuimbers.

Can anyone clarify this?

Why so special with 018 number?

No issue receiving SMS alert with U Mobile no. if that's what you meant.

I don't know, cause I heard from people mentioned this before. Probably it was ages ago.

To share, for the Petronas card with 8% CB return, only 3 transactions a day is allowed, in some cases if more than 3 transactions are done in a day, the next one can only be done after 24 hours.
Confirmed with CS regarding this.

Am in the process of applying this card and canceling my Maybank 2 cards.

Just wanna confirm, for the Touch and Go Zing it's optional right? If I don't want I just don't tick at the form right?

So far for users out there how is it?

Any hidden charges or anything like that?

I like this card for the fact it has CB for petrol and groceries, my major two expenses.

Edit: I just visited the Maybank 2 card thread and found out Maybank is reinstating the 5% cash back by 15th March. Might put a hold first on applying this card then.
